so i planned WAAAAYYYYY ahead this year. bought my plane tickets and booked a hotel in january for the conference. got everything real cheap - because for once i didnt wait till the last minute to do everything.

not only did i BOOK a room, i fuking PAID for a room. the internet site i booked it through made me pay in advance for the entire week. i didnt mind tho - b/c i was saving so much money

so i get a call TODAY that the hotel has cancelled my reservation. WHAT? i call the hotel and i call the internet company that booked the room for me...

i sat on the phone cursing off anyone that would listen, until i talked to the manager. I THINK that the manager saw my cheap rates, and decided to cancel me so that he could get double or triple the money for my room. HE claims that the hotel was overbooked, and they have to bump people. I argued for over an hour...how you gonna bump someone that had a reservation 3 months ago??

fucking dorchester hotel...i wouldn't be surprised if someone throws dog shit in their pool every day of the conference. (that's DORCHESTER HOTEL - 18th and collins)

Have your lawyer write a "friendly" letter to the hotel chain, not the specific hotel or manager. Make subtle suggestions that you think you may have a case for discremination. That usually gets people's attention.
