Question window a/c units

does anybody have any experience with these? mine is leaking water all over the window sill and it's running into my room and damaging the frame. i'm not the person who originally bought and installed it, so i don't have any sort of directions for installation. i took it out for the winter and when i put it back in for the summer, i started having problems with it. i'm sure it has something to do with a bracket that was left over when i was done putting it back in, but i have no idea how to attach it to the unit.

dammit vic beat me to it... cursed phone call!

leftover pieces are always bad. might wanna figure out where the bracket goes to. or the condensation unit might just be busted, thus all the leaky water.

It might be frozen. If the A/C unit freezes up it can cause that to happen. Turn it off for a day, I know that sounds like a lot to ask in this heat but it should help. Also make sure that your vents are clean of dust and dirt. It's not good to run window units like that all the time anyway. It's not a central A/C unit that will be more efficent if set to a certain temp.

A/C unit will leak water, it's natural, it's just removing the moisture from the air before cycling it thru the system causing condensation. You might want to make sure that the A/C unit is level or maybe slightly tilted outside the window.

Hope this could help.

Czech here too.
