curious what you use to make those? what software? equipment? recommendations?
trying to figure out what are some essentials i will need to do the same myself...any help is appreciated |
I use Logic and Reason for sequencing/synth software. Reason is a great all-in-one production tool. I use Sound Forge for mastering and cutting samples. And I use Recycle for making sample loops to use in Reason.
For hardware, I have a 2 GHz Dell with 1 GB memory and a 100 GB hard drive. I have an M Audio sound card and a midi controller keyboard. And for monitors I use KRK V8's. You might also want a small mixing board. It's convenient to be able to plug headphones in at the desk and also control volume on the monitors.
Only recommendation: don't cheap on the computer's processor or the sound card. If you want to run Reason or Logic, you'll need both to be good quality otherwise you'll get these annoying clicks and pops in your mix output because your card or your processor can't handle it. You can work around it, but it's annoying as fuck.
