LIVE PERFORMANCE: SEEZ MICS

Over the past decade, Seez Mics has developed the ability to write and freestyle lyrics that touch on many subjects: humor, inter and intra personal relationships, the invasion of technology on mankind's self-reliance, and the occasional song about eating the last cupcake when it's not yours. His writing and improvisational skills garnered him praise in the DC area as he developed a reputation as an abnormal battle MC with a flair for thought -provoking concept songs. The Educated Consumers material exhibits the versatility that Seez has become known for both at homebase and around the world.The most distinct characteristic of Seez's presence on the mic is his voice. The deep, gravely tones he emits allow him to manipulate his many styles over every type of beat. However, as cdbaby.com has said, "the genius is in the details". The attention to word choice and delivery technique is instantly obvious from the first listen. "I know that I'm dealing with a limited format (rhyming), but within that format there are so many possibilities. Finding the right words to express a thought is the key, and it doesn't hurt to give it that good old 'fancy rapper' touch."Seez lists Slug, Sage Francis, and Aceyalone as the MC's whose work he admires most. The Educated Consumers are the collective of producer t.E.C.K! and emcee Seez Mics. The two began working with one another in December of '99. t.E.C.K! expressed an interest in working with Seez Mics when the producer heard a few of the emcee's tracks with the Anonomous Crew. He heard a voice that matched the feel of his beats, and the two began laying out rough sketches of songs on a 4 track. By the summer of '00, the two had decided to record the best 16 cuts and package them as their first album. The two took it to the next level on "Aisle 2" with a thematic consitency within each track and the perfect beats to match.

The appeal of the group comes from their blend of the golden eras of the Hip Hop genre: the early 90's style of production and new millennium approach to Mceeing. While t.E.C.K! employs the art of crate-digging to provide the beats, Seez Mics speaks on universal truths about human existence to create the perfect hybrid. The production and lyricism compliment each other to create the perfect blend of Hip Hop music's best attributes.

RESINATION

“ResiNation is a noun and a verb, profound and disturbed, dope sounds have emerged” t.E.C.K! and K-Cromozone have shared the stage with the likes of Atmosphere, the Beatnuts and Murs (Living Legends) among others. K-Cromozone has alot of versatility when it comes to song-writing. The ResiNation LP has a slew of stories on it, a few songs that address politics, and a few songs where he plays linguistic misfit and just throws together syllables over some t.E.C.K! bangers. Along with making an appearance on every Educated Consumers release to date, K-Crome has been in many emcee battles including the Brainstorm battle (Seattle, Wash), although he's never advanced past the semi-finals in a battle, K's claim to fame is never being eliminated in the first round of a battle. He has been known to blow minds with freestyles and written raps while t.E.C.K! continues to earn his title of best producer ever (with red hair). ResiNation combines dope beats and production with lyrics that personify the new leaf hip-hop is turning over.

From his weekly downtown to his widely talented band Medic, Dave shows experience, versatility and motivation. His sets prove variety and his programming defines crowd control.

CAM ONE

Fresh off the WARP TOUR and also having recently opened for respective hip-hip & comedy legends KRS-1 & DAVE CHAPELLE, Cam has established himself as a critical staple of the DC area hip-hop scene. Expect the hottest contemporary and classic hip-hop selections backed by Cam's signature precision and red hot scratching! Cam's sets and production always cause for holla and we're honored to have him frequently rock the Krunk crowd.


TITTSWORTH

Titts has been an undeniable force in the local scene, consistently proving himself to be one of the area's strongest names in the DJ and promotional circuit. Whether it's hip-hop, booty house, dnb or techno, Titts stays a versatile crowd motivator that demonstrates rapid on-the-fly precision, and the ultimate in crowd control. He shows a meticulous technical attention to detail with his parties, his DJ'ing and his music production. Krunk is his latest baby, and has given him an much needed opportunity to rediscover his hip-hop & alkie roots. He also holds a residency at Alias (held at Nation, SE DC).


OPTiMST RHYMZ

Having held residents & ripped mics from Florida to Canada and back, Optimst has shown himself to be an unbelievably talented MC & DJ. With a perpetual passion towards local hip-hop, he proudly holds a residency at KRUNK, an event he also co-manages and promotes.
