Witness history in the making and be in the video shoot this Saturday during Storm's set! This DC-based lyrical great and hip hop mentor will be filming his performance and YOU, the Krunk crowd, for a video to be included with his upcoming album! In case you were not already aware, Storm the Unpredictable is a hip hop artist with a lyrical style that can instantly change the mood of any crowd, like the weather quickly changes with an approaching violent storm. His musical style is party-oriented but still gives listeners something intellectual to think about. Storm has always been a player in hip hop culture even before he was seen on national television. He's been featured as a finalist on B.E.T.'s Rap City Raw Footage contest and also on USA Network’s Farmclub television show where he was spotlighted on the same program as Ja-Rule and Snoop Dogg. Storm's music has received praise from Rap Sheet, Blaze, and Elemental magazines. Radio listeners across the country and world-wide have heard his songs on stations such as Hot 97FM in New York and both WPGC and WKYS in Washington, D.C. His recent single, “Get Your Weight Up (Big Girl Anthem)”, won the WPGC 95.5 Homejam’s competition enabling him to open up for their Springjam2k2 concert along side Ludacris, Fabolous, Ashanti, Keke Wyatt and others.

This poised local legend steps up to Saturday focused on dropping GOLDEN ERA and OLD SCHOOL hip-hop (with plenty of surprises and more crates than you can do shots). OSO (pronounced Ohhh-Sooo) Fresh has been widely recognized through signature razor-sharp scratching and airtight, highly technical mixing. This DC Metro Area Mix Tape King pulls from a deeeeeeep collection that consists of over 25,000 records (and quickly growing). His classic residencies have included 'Sonic' (The Vault, early 90's, now called 'Home'), 'Pump' (Spy Club, early to mid 90's) and 'Pollen' (The Edge, mid to late 90's), though he has blessed countless venues with his flawless skills, from U Street to South East. In addition to the personal accomplishment of having spun for 7 consecutive hours (without playing a single song twice), he's also responsible for over a decade's worth of quality mix tapes that have influenced the Nation's Capitol and the East Coast, including yours truly. We have received an overwhelming amount of interest in reviving our open mic. After an extended we've decided to give it another go. This time, open mic will be hosted by BUNN (see here to the left) in addition to VERT. Enforcement will be strict but fair. Negativity, selfishness and general ignorance will NOT be tolerated and will be swiftly addressed. If need be, offenders will be ejected, banned, arrested, etc! We hope that you use but don't abuse this opportunity. Don't force us to permanently ban, what is normally, a great thing. Show up EARLY (10:30pm - midnight) to get on! Under *NO CIRCUMSTANCES* are you entitled or permitted to touch the microphone outside of these hours so DON'T ASK. We've dedicated time for you, so RESPECT the time slotted for others. Questions? Having recently gained notoriety in the Golden Vinyl Awards (go to Club 5 this Wednesday and VOTE TITTS!), resident TITTS maintains his aim on the crowd for max dance floor motivation whether it's B-more club, hip-hop or backing open mic. Be on the lookout for the new Optimst EP, soon forthcoming and don't sleep on his weekly DJ sets laced with today's hottest wax and yesteryear's gems. From Jackson-5 infused grooves to up tempo perversion, the duo challenges your endurance with the non-stop music assault you've craved all week.

From his weekly downtown to his widely talented band Medic, Dave shows experience, versatility and motivation. His sets prove variety and his programming defines crowd control.

Fresh off the WARP TOUR and also having recently opened for respective hip-hip & comedy legends KRS-1 & DAVE CHAPELLE, Cam has established himself as a critical staple of the DC area hip-hop scene. Expect the hottest contemporary and classic hip-hop selections backed by Cam's signature precision and red hot scratching! Cam's sets and production always cause for holla and we're honored to have him frequently rock the Krunk crowd.

TITTSWORTH


Titts has been an undeniable force in the local scene, consistently proving himself to be one of the area's strongest names in the DJ and promotional circuit. Whether it's hip-hop, booty house, dnb or techno, Titts stays a versatile crowd motivator that demonstrates rapid on-the-fly precision, and the ultimate in crowd control. He shows a meticulous technical attention to detail with his parties, his DJ'ing and his music production. Krunk is his latest baby, and has given him an much needed opportunity to rediscover his hip-hop & alkie roots. He also holds a residency at Alias (held at Nation, SE DC).

OPTiMST RHYMZ



Having held residents & ripped mics from Florida to Canada and back, Optimst has shown himself to be an unbelievably talented MC & DJ. With a perpetual passion towards local hip-hop, he proudly holds a residency at KRUNK, an event he also co-manages and promotes. Whether behind decks or grasping the mic, his frequent performances show experience are consistently well received. Check him every Saturday at SoBe
