Wednesday | October.26.2000FIVE M3 and Upfront Industries LLC present:  Rinse Magazine, District Soul and DCDNB sponsored event  LONDON ELEKTRICITY [ Hospital Records ] - UK **5DNB DEBUT** The London Elektricity name is a by-word for real music in drum+bass. Having taken the world by storm with the Billion $ Gravy LP in 2003 and shown the world how to tackle drum and bass 100% live, London Elektricity continue to raise the game. Tony has been working on the new album now for about a year. And we're talking proper work! Late night song-writing sessions with Liane and MC Wrec, in the studio with the Jungle Drummer and Andy Waterworth as well as employing Landslide's technical skills to get the sonics just right on those tricky piano parts. All the late nights are starting to pay off as the new album "POWER BALLADS" is really taking shape. The beats and bass are sounding tight for the dancefloor and there are some next level songs and lyrics on offer. Something for everyone. The LE saga began way back in '96, and up until 2002 LE was a double-act. Tony Colman and Chris Goss made their mark in 98 with the epic "Song In The Key Of Knife", and subsequent critically acclaimed debut album "Pull The Plug". In 2002 Tony took on the project solo, as Chris concentrated on taking the NHS empire to the next level. With the release of "Gravy" in 2003, phone calls from Fabio and Radio one requested a live session from Maida Vale - and lo, LONDON ELEKTRICITY LIVE was born. SUBFOCUS w/ MC VERSE [ Ram Records | Crunch ] - UK **DEBUT USA TOUR** With several tracks to his name all made in the space of the last twelve months 2004 has been a massive year for Nick aka Sub Focus: the year has seen him breakthrough in unprecedented fashion armed with the likes of the technically astounding "Acid Test", the simple yet devastatingly effective "Strobe", the lively "Get on Up" and the altoghether awesome "X-Ray". In a matter of months, he has gone from being one of many wannabe producers to become a permanent fixture of the award winning Ram Records family. Artists like Sub Focus are what "Best Breakthrough Producer" awards are made for. Verse joins a select crop of owners, an MC with a label as he works towards the first Crunch release. In between touring and travelling, Verse has found sufficient studio time to write alongside DKay, BCUK, Keaton, Bad Company and join the Fifth Element crew deep with Loxy & Ink. Postponed due to distribution issues that collective are far from buried were assured. Verse releases have rounded out across Renegade Hardware and Outbreak; he duly returns to productions for his personal ends, Crunch Recs. SIGNAL [ Robot Death Squad | Moving Shadow ] - DC Robot Death Squad has swiftly moved to the forefront of the global Drum & Bass scene as one of the hottest new up and comers of 2005, with a slew of releases lined up for such labels as Covert Operations, Moving Shadow, and DC's very own Hate Recordings, just to name a few. Recently featured in the XBOX game Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball, the RDS are making a huge dent in the world with their brand of futuristic funk.
