mixedsignalsdc is on a distinguished road
11/11 — Attn Junkies & Joggers! Robosonic (from Berlin) + Dj Overkill @ Mixed Signals

\\ AGENDA \\\\\\\\\\
MIXED SIGNALS has been a monument of techno music in DC. The main goal has always been to bring long overdue acts to the Capital City, with interactive art and visuals to enhance your experience. This month, we continue the tradition with more exclusive appearances and a focus on highly energetic, uber-danceable, hands-in-the-air party music with a twist of techno. Put on your workout shoes because you can expect nothing but uncontrollable booty-shakin' and non-stop body rockin' tonight!
\\ ARTISTS \\\\\\\\\\
+ ROBOSONIC (DISKOMAFIA, BERLIN, GERMANY)

Coming to Washington, DC for an exclusive appearance directly from Berlin, Germany is a DJ/Producer duo who leave behind trampled dance floors: be it glamour and glitz at some stylish-trendy fashion show, a party in a filthy illegal underground club in Berlin, a festival at sunset or an obscure private party in Hungary. Schall & Robotti a.k.a ROBOSONIC stand for rough electronic party mayhem with rock star attitude. By fusing their own productions and current release-highlights with quotes, elements of classics and items of mashup-culture, they draw revelers into their cross-referenced and infectiously energetic dance zeitgeist. Playing 'alive' [DJ+live mix on computer] and also as a turntable DJ-team, these nightowls are responsible for excessive parties: Muscular dance entertainment for junkies and joggers!

+ OVERKILL (SOUND DESIGN, ARKATEKS, DC/VA)

Leading things off, New York native, DJ OVERKILL, will be reaching deep into his vinyl archive to present a mix of party jams from the early 1990s with classics that cross the genres of acid house, techno, and rave. DJing for over 15 years, Overkill has been influenced by heavyweights like Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Todd Terry and DJ Sneak. Having played to crowds of more than 1,000 people, his technique and selections are sure to bring back memories and put a smile on your face. Can you dig it!? So, come out and wiggle it...

+ MAJA PETRIC (MAJAPETRIC.COM)

Resident interactive telecommunications wizard, Maja Petric, will be displaying her latest interactive piece entitled "Black & White in Color."
