  2. "I don't play records, I create atmosphere!" says New York disco don Nicky Siano, who will be back at the controls for this party at Good Room. Line-up / Good Room presents... Nicky Siano Native New Yorker - Back To Our Roots + Love Tempo in the Bad Room with Justin Strauss & Billy Caldwell Hosted by Jon Martin & N!ni Eternal Sol Just 3 years ago, Native New Yorker opened it's doors at the Black Flamingo, with 200 people attending. Since then its crowd of over 1000 is more diversified than ever. At Native, people are lifted up by the atmosphere we work so hard to maintain, LOVE is so thick at native, most people scoop it up and take some home with them! This is the only party created by the last surviving architect of the entire dance music scene, NICKY SIANO. At 17, in 1972, Nicky opened his own club THE GALLERY, which was his canvas for 9 years. "I don't play records, I create atmosphere!" Nicky states. His proteges include LARRY LEVAN and FRANKIE KNUCKLES, both carrying Siano's vision to different parts of the country. Loletta Holloway, and GRACE JONES both launched their singing careers at his club. Steve Rubell was a Gallery devotee, who spent hours looking up at the lighting from a seat under the DJ booth, where he dreamed of a STUDIO 54. Steve begged Nicky to be the first DJ there and he was for the first six months. Nicky worked at Buttermilk Bottom, Hurrah, New York New York, Le Jardin, the Blue Whale, the Roundtable and many more. He is the FIRST DJ to produce a record along with Arthur Russell, KISS ME AGAIN, which featured guitar by David Byne, vocals Miriam Vallee, Wilbur Bascomb, and Allen Schwartzberg on drums. It went on to sell 300,000 12 inches. NATIVE NEW YORKER is the purest experience of music you will have in New York City, and the high will last you all week LONG!! Don't miss our last party of the year at THE GOOD ROOM, with Love in the BAD Room.
