  1. Founded in February 2008, Killswitch is a weekly happy hour dedicated to featuring the Bay Area's finest underground techno and house talent. Founded by Stap[e DJ Javaight and Black Market Techno DJ dCOY, Killswitch has featured DJs such as Alland Byallo, Dave Aju, Jonah Sharp, Sutekh, Clint Stewart, Worthy, J.Phlip, Drumcell,Todd Sines and live PA's from Monocle, Auralism's Marc Smith, and Perla.* With the addition of new residents Mossmoss & David Siska, Killswitch has established itself as an end of the week hangout for heads, techno lovers and party people alike.* Kill off your week with the sound of the underground at Killswitch. This week at Killswitch: Worthy (Dirtybird), Scott Carrelli (Satellite) & David Siska (B-day set)! Come join us at Facebook: http://bit.ly/11CAH1 About Worthy: DJ Worthy grew up around Washington DC in the early days of Deep Dish, Scott Henry and the early American rave scene. In the late 90's after moving to New York City, Worthy met his good friend Justin Martin and was exposed to the sounds of people like LTJ Bukem, Stacey Pullen, and Sasha. All of these influences made an impression on this young producer as he began to play records of all genres from hip hop to breaks to techno and drum n bass. In 2001 Worthy set up his studio in San Francisco and began producing house music. He began DJing around the city at clubs such as The Top, Lit, and Anu. Claude VonStroke noticed some of Worthy's tracks and asked him to be a resident DJ at their huge monthly summer event in Golden Gate Park. Worthy has played along side other great DJs such as Jesse Rose, JT Donaldson, Lance Desardi, and Luke Solomon. In 2006 Worthy started his own label called Katabatic Records to give him a way to release his own music. Katabatic Records has been releasing a steady stream of quality tech house and has gaining praises for its edgy music. If you have not heard of Worthy then you will soon know that he is worthy. About Scott Carrelli: Just who is Scott Carrelli? Genre-defying DJ? Brilliant promoter? Admirable chef? Club visionary, perhaps? When the man takes a break from his tireless work, what does he write for his job description? Perhaps he simply puts ?Master of any trade.? In truth, Scott Carrelli is all of the above. Scott Carrelli?s presence behind the decks and unique track selection makes him one of the best DJ?s in his hometown of San Francisco. Combining deep, funky, minimal tech, and tech house, the essence of a Scott Carrelli DJ set is being in the moment and having a connection to the dancefloor which few performers can say they have more of. During the course of his exciting career, Scott Carrelli has traveled the world over, headlining in Romania, Asia, Australia, Hawaii, at Miami WMC, and for Spundae both in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has performed alongside several luminaries including Sasha, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells, James Holden, DJ Dan, Felix da Housecat, Nick Warren, Derrick Carter, and DJ Three, just to name a few. Scott?s internationally-recognized SatelliteSF weekly, happening every Wednesday at Anu, has attracted many of the industry?s top DJ?s including Dave Seaman, Paolo Mojo, Radio Slave, Jimmy Van M, James Lavelle, Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Porter, Luke Fair, and Claude VonStroke. Scott?s ?Love Lee? parties have been known as the definitive event surrounding Love Parade / Love Fest in San Francisco, consistently one of the best parties of the weekend surrounding this international event. Scott Carrelli attributes his success to mentor and occasional tag-team partner, Spesh, of the successful production team Jondi & Spesh. It was Spesh's recognition of Scott's unique style that landed him his residency at Qoöl, the world famous "clubbing at happy hour" spot and San Francisco's longest running weekly. Additionally, Carrelli?s unique sound and SatelliteSF?s momentum has made Anu the hottest place to be every Wednesday night for the last 6 years. The future continues to look bright for Scott. SatelliteSF keeps him busy every week, and he is making his presence known over the airwaves, hosting a monthly show on Frisky Radio and has been featured on Proton Radio and Australia?s Triple J. With successful releases on Looq Records he?s looking forward to more time on the airwaves, in the studio and on the decks.. quot;Scott has managed to forge a unique and refreshing sound among a crowded landscape of DJs, and we are proud to have him as a resident at Qoöl." - Spesh, Looq Records quot;Carrelli's instinctive track selection and refined ability to blend beats produce structured sets that create a mood of unrecognizable familiarity. He plays what you feel and makes you feel what he plays." - Jamieson Chandler, Mezzanine Nightclub, San Francisco About Dave Siska: David Siska has been selecting electronic dance music for Chicago's airwaves, loft parties, and clubs for over a decade. In the past several years he's become known in global circles as co-host of the Chicago-based Sonic Sunset radio program, an acclaimed show dedicated to connecting eras and blurring lines between genres in electronic music. After residencies at some of Chicago's most respected venues, David has moved on to San Francisco, where he's focusing on starting his label - Remnant - to showcase texturally evocative electronic compositions from established and emerging artists. Music: techno, minimal, house, tech house, acid, electro, disco

  10. Ghostbar a scene with a view high above the glittering expanse of las vegas, the 8,000 square foot ghostbar is a sultry and sophisticated indoor-outdoor lounge and sky deck on the 55th floor of the palms casino resort. indoors amid the seductive shadows, the sleek, chic ghostbar offers ultra- lounging luxury among an ethereal color scheme of silver, white, greens and greys. twelve-foot floor-to-ceiling windows offer a dramatic view of the night sky and city below; a 30-foot ghost-shaped soffit in the ceiling changes colors as a deejay spins an eclectic music mix. patrons can luxuriate on the custom, ultra-contemporary lounging furniture, seek privacy in the intimate seating arrangements or vip lounge, or mingle at the terrazzo bar. behind the bar, shelves of premium spirits glow with the incandescence cast by backlit panels of acrylic-encased fabric. outdoors, the dramatic sky deck provides almost a 360-degree view of vegas at its most glittering, with a glass inset in the floor offering a jaw-dropping view straight down. posh seating areas are enhanced with a fiber-optically lit drink rail running most of the circumference of the deck. specialty cocktails include champagne concoctions and the signature "ghostini? (a ghostly blend of absolut, midori and a splash of sour), as well as an extensive champagne selection and hand-picked wine list, with high-end wines by the glass. hovering above the electrifying buzz that is las vegas, ghostbar is an elegant, stimulating destination for cocktails, socializing and private events for up to 300 guests. ghostbar is open nightly from 8 p.m. until late. paramount service? unparalleled views? unleashed inhibitions? the ultimate apparition. playboy club the rebirth of a legend. for the first time in 25 years, the legendary playboy club returns complete with the stunning playboy bunnies. but the new playboy club offers much more: club-goers can test their luck on playboy slots, blackjack and roulette. and between the beautiful bunnies and the breathtaking diamond bar, the views are spectacular.

  17. A mega-dance party led by the go-to party motivator and music producer extraordinaire. The plural in the artist?s name is a little misleading, as Boys Noize is actually a solo project from producer Alexander Ridha. Feted by artists such as Tiga, Erol Alkan, and Soulwax, the youthful Berlin-based producer creates a brash, maximalist music, sometimes recalling Daft Punk at their most boisterous moments. Ridha has also remixed tracks as diverse as Feist?s ?My Moon My Man,? Depeche Mode's ?Personal Jesus,? Bloc Party's ?Banquet,? Marilyn Manson's ?Putting Holes in Happiness,? and Kaiser Chiefs' ?Everyday I Love You Less And Less.? Presented in association with Meanred Productions.
