  1. Qoöl is the original clubbing happy hour in SF, if not the world, and the longest continuously running dance music event in San Francisco. Every Wednesday evening, starting at 5pm, Jondi & Spesh host a five hour club night at the 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. The music, mostly electronic, has a progressive theme, from electro, to breaks to techno, to progressive house and even ambient. Each DJ plays a short 45 minute set, and the talent ranges from bedroom DJs to international supastars. All are welcome, and partygoers are a chaotically diverse yet harmonious mix of electronic music loving phreeks, suit clad downtown wage slaves, hippies, artists, trust fund babies, neighborhood homeless, and international tourists. The enthusiasm and dedication of Qoölios is world famous. In fact Qoöl is often pegged for its personal vibe and all out "Saturday night" feeling. The cover charge is only $5 and a good chunk of the proceeds go to non-profit organizations, including The SETI Institute and the San Francisco Homeless Coalition. Every Wednesday from 5pm to 10pm at the 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna Street, San Francisco, Ca. [see event schedule for monthly Saturdays, one-off parties, and other well vibed events]
  2. The Cabaret Cocktail Boutique journey begins before you even walk through the door? Thanks to the glamorous marquee that is guarding over Chicago?s Hubbard Street. The entrance sets the tone by lighting up the street with it?s 1000 sparkling lights and bright neon letters which can be seen from half a mile away. Cabaret is in-your-face with a style that compliments today?s love of luxury, rique-style, and Vegas inspired glitz. The amazing combination is what Chicagoans have been thirsting for. The venue houses three lounge areas but in an open floor plan. The room itself is lined with Corinthian style capitals inside etched glass columns coordinated with moody and colorful recessed floor lighting. On each side of the lounge seating areas line the walls underneath a few scattered bouquets of brilliant crystal chandeliers. Three full service bars with white corian tops and hints of raku stone, Terrazzo, Brazilian cherry wood floors and recessed lighting in the floors and walls throughout. Picture Louis Xvi tables encased in orange plexi-glass. There is a back room?a modern day speakeasy corner, with traditional red and gold hues. Look forward to interactive shows as well. Cabarets have been so successful for so long with good reason? expect to be teased, there is a flirt and provocative tone to the Cabaret concept?this venue comes equipped with gorgeous girls to set that tone. Think modern day Moulin Rouge, an irresistible blend of sex appeal, charm, humor, and rock-star style play. COME See Where You Belong Music: House / Club

  6. Get ready for the sexiest night in town where you?ll be seduced by impeccable sounds from celebrated DJs and distinctive live bands, sultry burlesque dancers, powerful signature drinks, and impressive décor all under one amazing roof. Beginning Friday, August 1st, 2008 the Downtown La Renaissance heats up with the Grand Opening of Friday?S at Bordello. Formerly known as Little Pedro?s, Bordello flirts with the notorious past of its infamous location as the oldest bar and brothel in Downtown Los Angeles by reflecting its legendary status as a theater of the unusual and provocative. Situated in Downtown?s Artist district, characterized to be much like New York?s SoHo district, Bordello combines the city?s old glamour with the likes of today?s high-profile talent. Start your weekend off right with an unforgettable happy hour beginning at 4 PM and lasting until 7 PM. Tickle your palette with specialty drinks, along with your favorite scrumptious treats. On Friday, August 1st, roar in delight with the happy hour?s dollar menu, where you can even indulge in $1 shots! When you?re ready for an exquisite night, get amped up as LA?s local favorite Herick Hell spins his special musical selections from 9 PM-2 AM. Herick Hell joined the nightlife arena in 1985 and quickly positioned himself as a trendsetter in the dance music scene. As a founding member of Go Ventures (which continues to provide the largest electronic dance festivals, boasting well over 40,000 people at each event), Herick was one of the first DJ's to spearhead the electronic dance movement or "rave" scene in the late 80's, early 90's. He was the exclusive Los Angeles DJ to serve as a resident at the famed Bananas nightclub in Ensenada during the peak of their success, with legendary 12-hour sets that rocked party-goers from all over the world. His fame grew to such great heights that he sold out world-renowned Hollywood Paladium, Shrine Auditorium and countless other venues. In the late 1990's he switched his focus from large-scale events to the 21 & over club scene. He helped create the soundtrack for the most influential club of the L.A. "Fashionista" era, The Mission, now known as Vertigo's. Herick continues to play to capacity crowds on a weekly basis and still finds the time to travel to the biggest and best events throughout Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and the bay area, including special features on the Style Network and The Peter Project. For Friday night birthday parties, celebrations, or other bookings at Bordello, call the wickedly gorgeous Loriann Valencia at 626.354.9033. Considered the ?madam to the club goers of Los Angeles,? Loriann Valencia has helped set the bar high for the social network of the city?s nightlife. Boasting impressive credentials from hotspots throughout the La area, Loriann has hosted renowned clubs such as: Element, Basque, Social, Bordello, Minx, Crazy Horse, White Lotus, Ritual, Avalon, The Flat Lounge, Vanguard, and Cabana Club. She?s also a sought-after spokeswoman and event planner. Loriann has successfully planned high-profile festivities, such as: the Grand Prix of Long Beach, San Jose, Houston, and Denver, and numerous Bench Warmer events. In addition to being one of the top event planners, Loriann is also a talented model, having appeared in favorite ads for: GM Motors, Kix Cereal, PFF Bank Campaign, and Bench Warmer. Recently, Loriann wed famed DJ Herick Hell and combined their talents to form their own dynamic nightlife, entertainment, and event-planning venture. Herick and Loriann are co-producing Friday?S at Bordello along with ?Dino,? Ken Black, ?Chunkeebutt and B,? Amber Dee, Stevie D, and Aj Productions. 10. In 2008 Martin Roth reacquainted the world with modern electronic trance soul, ashis self-proclaimed NuStyle productions & distinctive DJ Sets took over controlcrossing generic boundaries."NuStyle" describes a combination of multiple influences throughout trance,Progressive, Tech & Electro - creating a fresh sound ideal for the Dancefloor &Radio / DJ Play across the barriers, with names such as Chicane, AvB & PvD orGerman Chart-Toppers Ich&Ich or Rosenstolz all personally requesting the MRRemixTreatment.Record sales proved him right as his Remix for "sensation seekers" became #1 in2008's Beatport sales charts and Martin Roth was crowned alongside Eric Prydz & Deadmau5 "Star of 2008" as well as nominated more than any other Act in their '08awards receiving 3 nominations. No surprise with 5 different #1 selling tracks on the Portal and an incredible 16 Top10 singles. The musical background of the Frankfurt born classically trained piano professional originates from 80's Wave heroes like Depeche Mode, having his first club cultureexperiences in the 90's with Sven Väth and his label imprints EyeQ & Harthousewhere he fell in love with electronic dance music. In keeping with his obsessive love of music - spanning punk, industrial/new wave, pop, house and techno - Martin set out to push the musical boundaries andchallenges the dance scene's preconceptions by going back to his roots resulting inbeing constantly ahead of the game feeding underground as well as mainstream interest. Moving to Berlin marked a decisive turning-point in his career. With LUNATIQUErecords and the more underground based Omfg! Martin Roth founded anindependent platform and trademark for his idea of Techno music. The labels' basicconcept allows him to explore musical depths and artistic freedom releasing not style oriented but simply modern and catchy Edm featuring exclusive artist releases in combination with his own work. Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Ministry of Sound in London or Sydney's Home - withhis characteristic strong DJ appearances on every continent Martin Roth astonishesthe crowds with his skills and unpredictable open-minded track selection giving aninsight what is next on the dancefloor. His unique and distinctive style is one that's got people talking, with events in over 25 countries a year a statement to his exploding worldwide popularity in turn helping himbeing en Vogue and feed him with extra inspiration as well. The Martin Roth debut artist album is about to be released in 2009 ...
