Doing some work on updating the BBS. Not sure many forums ever come back in the wake of social media, but it would be cool to do an oldtimers meetup here! LOL.

Winter Music Conference Announces 2009 Dates
Winter Music Conference
March 24 - 28, 2009
Miami Beach, FL
***For Immediate Release***
Friday, October 17, 2008
Music Happens in Miami Beach, March 24 – 28, 2009 at the 24th Annual Winter Music Conference.
Last year, 2,211 artists and DJs participated in over 537 total events presented across the greater Miami area during WMC week. Founded in 1985 as a platform for the advancement of the music industry, the WMC program includes seminars, meetings, receptions and parties throughout the week with personalities and innovators from all aspects of the business worldwide. Q&As and technical hardware/software demonstrations will be highlighted each day. Last year's program featured 227 panelists and speakers participating in more than 80 meetings, seminars, workshops and demonstrations. Overall more than 62,000 participants and 3,726 delegates from 70 countries attended, making it the largest industry program of its kind in the world. Expect an even larger turn out for 2009.
Highlights of the 2009 program will include the IDMA’s (International Dance Music Awards), also in it’s 24th consecutive year, where the music business converges to honor the achievements of industry, artists and innovators in 50 categories. Voting will begin in November.
WMC will also present the 2nd edition of South Beach Sessions, a bold new perspective on the traditional WMC panel program. Founded on the principles that make music compelling – individual expression, empowerment, creative thinking and collaboration – the program’s mission is to create greater exposure for artists and ideas. South Beach Sessions explores new inroads where music and art are flourishing and making a courageous difference in the world. Pioneers in music, art, fashion, technology, business, education, the environment and more convene for one of the most inspiring and epic programs of the week.
WMC 2009 will host the 3rd edition of the Record Collector’s Show - an international hub for buyers, sellers and traders of rare and collectible vinyl, tapes, and music memorabilia which assembles the best record dealers and features some of the rarest music in the country.

From http://www.cooljunkie.com/forum/miami-junkies/125956-mansion-ny-mansion-miami.html
I gotta say mansion NY is pretty impressive. IT'S HUGE.Unlike the second floor Miami mansion, the NY version actually works. This place is ginormous. Im not crazy about the DJ set up at NY... I couldn't even find the DJ and when i did, i didn't care!!! i saw Erick millon what a cool guy... Haha i didn't understand a single word he said but still invited me for a drink... girls girls everywhere!!!
But i would still choose to party at Mansion in Miami. Just a better feel. And overall the girls are better in Miami. NY has more beautiful taller girls... I'm 6'1 and i felt short... But there's a lot of ugly chicks running around too.
It isn't as bad in Miami... And the NY door staff are douch bags... I take the frenchies any damn day!!! ohhhh there are so many little hideaways rooms in mansion NY that you cant imagine what the hell goes on that place. I wish i would had seen how crobar was... What i thought was real corny was that they got those stupid horns that got at SET in NY, and that cheap fire place. Very tacky. Haha i would advice bring a compass if you visit Mansion NY...

I've been the last two years, but the lineup is not strong enough for me to return this year.
Thay are bringing a festival to NYC this summer - All Points West - featuring Radiohead, Jack Johnson, Underworld, etc.

so you guys banned earmuffs for speaking the truth?
..and you wonder why no one posts here anymore! it's stupid moderating decisions like that which have destroyed and killed this board....
what was really the point in banning him? I don't get it. He is totally right, there is no community and it has been dead for quite awhile now.. all thanks to stupid moderating decisions like the one demonstrated here. keep up the good work!
He wasn't banned for speaking the truth. He was banned for excessive promoting.

-
Ok, I'm going back to enjoying WMC now...
-
come on dave...her first ever post/thread on a clubbing website is about boobs...then she says shit about fat people...she is asking for most of what she gets...
I have no problem with people attacking her posts, but not attacking her personally or commenting on her body parts.
-
haha our posts got deleted misk
That won't happen again.
-
except dave's rich and ur just average
LOL.
-
It is not about me getting banned or not...It is about making CP a better place all around. DaVe and I have a mutual respect for each other and are on the same page when it comes to this.
Well, if this is true, I welcome it. I have no problem with things that have their place, but the site has become hostile to newcomers. This is not something that I want to have. DianaK has a lot of learning to do, no doubt, but posts that just attack her and are sexually repulsive have no place here.
Dude...what happened to the "..." Board????

We're working on making some site changes and forum updates too. You're right, a lot of things changed and people moved to social networks. Not sure we'll be back to the "glory days" but we're going to help make it easy to go out and get on guestlists and find out what's going on.
