  1. Diggers is playnig creamfields. He'll do the first set and jet out... Sasha is the one who isn't playing. He'll be there until the end.
  2. Capacity, sound, lighting, and location. thanx!
  3. Its not like Junior starts at midnight anyway. They're going to start rotating djs on Saturday nights and have them play from 12-5 or something like that before Junior get s on. I think that's a smart move. There is absolutely nowhere else to go on Saturdays in nyc. Atleast until HOME opens up.
  4. I think S & D are going to be dropping a new set of tunes tomorrow night. Don't expect to hear 'pushing to hard' or even 'musak' for that matter.
  5. Here's mine Oliver Lieb (me too Jilly!) Danny Howells Steve Lawler Terry Lee Brown Jr. Yousef Nick Warren Craig Richards Lee Burridge Ashley Casselle Ian Ossia Jon Carter Jon Marsh Bushwacka! LAURENT GARNIER Mr. C Some of these have been here, I just wish they'd come here more often!
  6. I can't stand whistlers. Way too annoying!
  7. LOL There is NO WAY Diggers play HARD TRANCE. Thank god for that! And some of those djs u listed don't just stick to one genre. They might play a little of everything.
  8. I said it b4 and I'll say it again. Tunnel is going to be the new HOME. Danny Tenaglia the resident. Thats wishful thinking...
  9. Its not like they're going to be sharing the same booth. Danny will simply play downstairs from 12-5 and Jr will take over from his booth upstairs from then on. I think it's a great marketing scheme to get clubbers in early on Saturday nights. It's usually ghost town before Junior gets on. Howells is one of my favorite djs of the moment. He played Twilo twice in the past and rocked it both times. His nubreed is out in a few days and I highly recommend it for those that like the dark, tribal, progressive sound. Danny is about to blow up on the global scale. Enough of being under the shadow of Diggers.
  10. It all depends what the music policy is. If it's that same old NY house crap that the rest of Manhattan is playing then no thanks.
  11. Good release by Dave 'all rise' Seaman. After a few listens I have to say that I prefer CD1. It flows nicely. I just wish he played track 2 -Rui Di Silva 'the 4 elements "Earth" a bit longer. Ian Wilke's 'Guten Morgen' is another standout track. Track 11 Muse-Sunburn has surprisingly grown on me. Timo Maas had something to do with funky bassline... I've only listened to cd2 twice. Its more on the trancey side which Im not too big of a fan of anymore. Big on my want list is Danny Howell's Nubreed and GU017 Tenaglia-London
  12. Alright... Here's my view of the night. We got there around 11pm to kind of chill out and down a few drinks. Some female dj was on at the time, I didn't get her name though. There were some minor technical difficulties but she didn't sound bad at all. By 1230, the place was rammed. The ladies were indeed beautiful and wearing hardly anything. I have to say, good looking crowd. Oakie jumped on at exactly 1 am. For the first hour, he played some fairly new tracks. 2 of them were from Jan Johnston and they went down well. He surprised me bigtime when he dropped X-press 2 'AC/DC' that's one of my fav at the moment. Lookout for X-press2-Muzik which is just totally off the hook! One thing I noticed was that the records kept skipping from the crowd jumping so hard. The place was a effin ZOO!!! Anyways, at around 3 am, they threw around 500 glowsticks into the crowd at once. Talk about energy. The crowd was on fire!! Then it all went downhill for me... Just me though. Everyone else was still having the best time. He played CHEEEZ WHIZZ the rest of his set. 'Bullet in the gun' and that wack track 'zombie nation' that the whole place was singing along. At that point, there was no sense in me sticking around the dancefloor. So I went outside to get some fresh air. Oakie gigs will always be rammed and always blow people away. He's a business man. A damn good one too. I highly suggest if you want to get someone thats not into the scene to start. Take them to an Oakie gig. Sasha & Diggers in my opinion would be too deep and they will get bored pretty fast. That's how it happened for me. I disliked trance very much until I started buying those Cream cds 5 years ago and when I heard Oakie for the first time in '97, I was indeed HOOKED! For my musical enjoyment, I'll stick to the new pioneers of underground such as Lee Burridge, Craig Richards, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, and the messiah, Danny Tenaglia; but he's not a new pioneer. We left the Tavern shortly after Oakie's set because the dj that was closing was playing crap! gotta run easy!
  13. Been away all weekend. Heard about the shit news. Was vinyl fined or is it closed down for good??? Now I can see Tenaglia as being the HOME resident when it opens here in NYC in the fall.
  14. I swear. This line-up keeps floating around from board to board. ITS A HOAX!!!!

  16. I heard a rumor that one of the guests playing w/ Tongy at Twilo is Quivver. Still no word on who the other one is. But i have a feeling its.......... maybe I shouldn't say...

  21. Gen, Ive seen him a few times and JP isn't for me at ALL. Nonetheless, he has a HUGE following of loyal clubbers that pack in Sound factory every weekend.
