  1. say you're on the email list and get reduced. no dress code mate....
  2. Danny is back and I can't wait to hear him. Since I have to work at 8 am Saturday morning, I'll just wake up around 430 am and head over to Vinyl and dance until I go to work. I prefer to do that rather than go until around 3 am and head home with only a few hours of sleep. Hey, I don't call myself Nolimit for nothing...Jeez!
  3. I always thought he was a hip hop dj.
  4. Tonite at Izzy they've got their usual progressive sessions with an industry crowd. Bill Patrick ('til noon) will be one of the guests. See you tonite! Izzy Bar 1 Ave & 10 St 21+ BRING ID $3 cover
  5. As expected, he delivered a stormer. I got there around 1 am, a little over 20 minutes into his set. Mr. C, another bald dj was playing a fine mixture of tech-house tracks I've never heard of. The place was rammed like you wouldn't believe. I figure the place holds around 150 people. I saw the same crowd from Twilo Wednesdays & Fridays. As for his set, he kept it flowing nicely. The only recognized track was Simon's -Free at last. If you missed his gig this time, no worries. He'll be back in August at Centro-fly. Don't miss him. He rocks!!!!
  6. The man behind the end club in London, probably one of the best underground club in the UK. Mr. C will be gracing the decks at this small, intimate lounge droppin the tech-house funk. Sapphire Lounge for the sleaze factor party. Should be off da hook! You can't go wrong for only $5. Where's all the tru-heads?? I'll post a review manana... easy
  7. Do something about it. Call up management and tell them what's up... That's what I would do. You've got nothing to lose guys...
  8. Nice one... Can u elaborate a lil more on the floaty part?? I don't quite get that.
  9. It sure is. See if you can stop by. I think it's going to be a good turn out. You missed my July 3rd party at FUN. It was off da hook. I'm looking to do a monthly there when they get their cabaret license sorted out. Over 600 heads showed up and the bar actually ran out of Vodka. I'll take that as a compliment.
  10. The premiere of Salinas NYC- Outdoor deck party DJs Special guest Melvin Moore along w/ Bill Patrick Que James Bem Venue Lulu's Parlor 499 10 Ave 38 St 21 + BRING ID 1pm- ?? $5 Cover 212.244.4521 email tilnoon@hotmail.com
  11. JohnB, Good shit man.. Glad to hear you experienced a Space session. I too heard that the Manumission parties aren't what they used to be. I urge you to check out the Renaissance parties at Privelege. They've got some nice line-ups this season. I also recommend checking out Pacha. I think Roger Sanchez is resident for the Gatecrasher nights. Should be a nice change from the reputive cheezy trance image. That's where u see the beauties... I bet you don't see too many obese people either. Which beach did you go to?? U must see Salinas and go to Sa Trincha. Perhaps one of the coolest spots on the island. As Jon plays the baeleric grooves while you're chillin' under the sun. Don't forget to order pitchers of Sangria. The best drink IMO. Red Bull & Vodka is another favorite. Keep us informed.
  12. Get on the reduced list for $30. Let's see. Usually when they're in town the party usually goes on well past 9 and sometimes later like this past weekend. So average out $30 a night/reduced and say u get there around 2 am when they start, that's averaging a little over $4 an hour of the best sound and 2 of the best djs in the world. That's not asking much is it?? No where else in the world will you be able to listen to these guys for more than 5 hours let alone a monster 7-8 hours session like they do when they play at Twilo. You would think that increasing the cover would make people think twice about paying but I guess the majority of the people know that it's worth every penny. This past weekend proved it. Another thing, it was a holiday weekend so a huge crowd was expected. Or u can just go to Exit, still pay atleast $25 and listen to crap all night.
  13. Hats off to what he has done in the past to the scene but it stops there. I don't think I can enjoy what he's playing nowadays.
  14. Just call my mobile. I'll hook u up. 917.932.3333
  15. Ahh.. It depends who you go with. If it's your clubbing partner that hell yeah. Its a blast. If you go with people that aren't into the scene as much as you are, which seems to be my problem most of the time, then I rather go alone and meet up w/ the peeps that I normally see at the clubs who are into the same type of music/djs et al. Comprende??? It goes either way for me.
  16. DO you know if he dropped his new track 'Scorchio'? Im sure he did. He has been caning the shit out of it lately. Are u sure Diggers went on at 7. I left around 615 and it was still Sasha. I wasn't seeing things. Sasha was wearing white and Diggers black. I spoke w/ some friends and they also said that I missed a brilliant set. He tore it up like never before. Oh well. That was expected.
  17. In a recent DJ mag article interviewing PvD, he wishes so much that he wasn't labelled as the Mesiah of trance. The reason behind it is that there's a lot of crap coming out labelled as trance from guys like Ferry Corsten, Matt Darey, and ATB to name a few. He just hates the bullshit tracks coming from record labels labelling that as trance or better known to us as cheez! All those compilations w/ the word trance in it. Don't bother. They're crap... I think they use that word as a marketing scheme. Whatever. It's obviously paying off. I used to represent at PvD hardore. His sound didn't change much. As much and as fast as music evolves you've got to keep up with it. His sets are pretty much the same and very predictible. I don't care for that. That's just my opnion. Say what you want, if he rocks it for you, that's fine. It was time to move on. TRANCE died in 99. That was the year of it, just like Speed Garage was the sound of 97. How quickly did that genre disappear... And progressive will probably do the same. Then it will be breaks and so forth.
  18. To those that are chillin' el locale, check out my party Monday, July 3rd at FUN. DJs Bill Patrick, Que, and James Bem dropping underground sounds just like you love 'em! FUN 130 Madison St btwn Pike & Market Underneath the Manhattan BR 212.964.0303 NO COVER Doors 9pm/ 21 + w/id
  19. Got there around 145 am. I couldn't believe my eyes. The queue went all the way around 10 Ave and back around 26 St. Unreal! I get inside as Sean Cusick finishes his last 2 tracks. I asked around to see how he did and he managed to do the job well. He's no Jimmy, but I'm sure he'll adapt just fine. For those that don't know, Sean will be the opener for now on. Diggers got on around 2 am. He played that mellow and lush style that he always starts out with. Only knew a couple of the tracks played, but excellent tracks. What a way to get the night started. He dropped Sven Vath- Barbella, Coca Dasilva-Close my eyes, Cevin Fisher-Love you some more (what a tune!), Phaser-Watergroove, and that's all that I can recall. Sasha came on around 5 and he kept up the pace. He actually picked up the pace playing some tracks with these funky basslines. As always, a shitload of tracks that I've never heard of. I have no idea where he gets all of these tracks. His set is different every month. Cutting edge... I left around 615. Too early to really give a proper opinion on his set. Im sure he rocked it. Anyone stay until the end? My friend left around 430 am and the queue was still wrapped around 10 Ave. Nuts!! Did anyone hear the difference in the sound? I sure did. I don't think it can get any crisper that that. Damn!!! I saw Randy briefly. I guess he was busy making sure everything was flowing like it should. Good work Randy!
