  1. Steve Lawler is the HOME resident in London and HOME at Space in Ibiza. His style varies from house to prog-tech house. Sounds a bit like Tenaglia. Really... Parks & Wilson- Also HOME residents that have taken over Oakie's spot on Saturdays. They're styles range from prog house to trance. Add Quivver and you've got 'TILT' Who is one of the most respected producers in this genre of music. Believe me guys, they're all going to tear it up with sounds that are blowing up in the rest of the world. You won't be sorry. I'll be there from start to finish. Anyone wanna join us? easy!
  2. You seem to be double posting on most of your replies. Point taken... I just think he needs to get it together. I think that's it for him. His heyday is done.
  3. Never been but I've got a few mates that live in the UK and have been and they've also been to Twilo. In comparison, Twilo edged it. What happened to Cream?? I heard that they recently raided the place and they've been given only an 8 month temporary license. What's going on with that?
  4. I know a monthly boat party called Overboard that happens once a month. For $25, Sets sail at 8pm-12 on Sundays. Open bar for the first hour. Music is always top notch. More progressive if anything.
  5. Never been either but I've heard that the place looks fab inside. Nothing like it used to look (Key Club). Anyone here have hook ups?? I heard they're very selective at the door. You need to be on the list or fucking the doorman.
  6. Oh no... Summer anthems of 99! Get ready to hear 'Bullet in yer head' & Push-Universal nation & Maurro Picatto-Lizard Wish he'd reinvent himself
  7. I am sooo there! I've never heard any of these top notch djs/producers. Same bat time, & same bat channel. easy
  8. If you want to be added to our email list for upcoming parties and events- tilnoon@hotmail.com I also have a pre-Independence day blow out at FUN on Monday July 3rd. FUN is the new hotspot that features 4 huge projectors showing tripped out visuals, flatlike TV monitors everywhere, and you can even play Dreamcast, if that's your thing. One of NYC's best looking lounges. Best of all, its free I'll post more details as they come...
  9. I don't think Cream would top off Twilo's sound. I've heard about Fabric's sound system as being one of the best but none of them come close to Twilo. Next time you're at Twilo. Go directly underneath the ball and just listen. It's going to blow you away!
  10. I have to agree w/ CM, if it wasn't for places like Vinyl or Twilo, this city would suck the big one. Thank god that you can hear the best DJ alive play week in & week out, along with int'l talent from all over. So, it's not so bad afterall
  11. My tastes change from time to time. The stuff that Digweed and Tenaglia plays get me going like a 100 mph. That dark and deep sound with tripped out echoed effects over a phunky bassline. I also like the vocals. A perfect example is the vocals that Dave Seaman likes to throw alcapellas over another track. Simply brilliant. Used to like the melodic stuff but that got played...
  12. Trancenergy, I hate to tell you this, but there's is ton of information that B2B wrote about in previous threads that had to do with Ibiza, accomodations and even airfares. Go back a few pages and have a look. There aren't any 'cheap deals' when going to Ibiza. The airfare alone for August and on is $1,000 +. And they can't even confirm me. They've overbooked almost every flight to Ibiza from Madrid in August. Looks like I'll be going in September for those infamous closing parties. peace
  13. It's better if you do the 'leg work' yourself. It's not that difficult to find a venue. Just call or stop by during the day and ask to talk to the manager. You wouldn't believe how many places there are in the city. You just have to look for them. They're not going to come to you. A lot of places won't do an after hours. Most clubs/bars/lounges are only licensed to be open until 4 am. I've decided that I want to have an after after hours, or a pre-party. Whatever you want to call it. An open air, outdoor deck party on Saturdays starting at 1pm. We'll see how that goes. Good luck bro.
  14. What's the name of your club? Is it in Chicago?? Welcome to the board
  15. Well don't forget to keep us posted on how both of 'em do. Sandra Collins has great potential to do blinder sets, but the last few times that I've seen her, she started playing cheez midway into her sets. Yo... I can't stand that crap. I haven't heard her new Tranceport CD. I heard mixed reviews but I'd like to hear it for myself. easy
  16. So let's stop because Oasis isn't happy with them.... Dude... Just let it be...
  17. The scene here it tolerable. Nothing cutting edge about it though. Something BIG is about to happen. I have this weird feeling... You wanna know where the mecca of dance music and clubland? England and Ibiza. That's where its at people...
  18. I'm curious to see how this one is going to turnout... I heard he was terrible at Roxy back in March. I didn't even bother to see him in Miami during the conference. He is still playing shit from his Resident CD. Gimme a break!
  19. Stereo is a club in Montreal. It boasts as one of the best sound systems in the world. I guess the people who are going will fill us in on that...
  20. Also something a lil different... Starting Saturday July 8th, the premiere of Salinas NYC. It's an open air, outdoor deck party during the day. DJs Bill Patrick, Que, James Bem (Satellite) and a special guest appearance, Melvin Moore (School). Just don't forget the shades.
  21. Cheers for the 411 Ali. The only regret I have is that I don't go to Vinyl as much as I want. I work every other weekend so that limits me to 2 fridays a month and I usually hit Twilo for those. This friday Im going to Twilo again because I want to hear Park & Wilson and Steve Lawler(UKs version of Tenaglia) and Quivver. I have yet to hear these guys. Top notch djs... easy!
  22. House u> Can u tell me a bit more about that 'Turn me on' remix? Is it a DT remix?? Last week at Vinyl, I heard this track with Lula's vocals all over it. It was the usual, dark & dirty sound. Also, there's another track he played that blew me away. It goes 'You got to Believe in something, why not beleive in me' Yoooo!!! Forget about it man! The original mix is from Mankey, but this one sounds nothing like the one Danny played. Someone help. cheers
  23. I don't think anyone on the board even knows who Fergie is. If you want to hear a hard house mix done by the talented young one, go to www.ministryofsound.co.uk
  24. A few people on here mention that Twilo's sound is at peak performance when Junior plays. Perhaps it could be because the dj booth downstairs is analog and Junior's is all digital. Help me out on this one Randy... They're moving the dj booth to the other side and it's supposed to be digital as well.
