Howdy folks, Me and a few fellas heading down to Miami on Dec. 15. We'll be in town thru the following Tues. 12/20. Can anyone be so kind to recommend a few 'can't misses' while we're down this way? We couldn't make it over to hear him last nite. Was he DROPPING BEATS like he ued to? I'm really pissed based on reviews i'm seeing, though i'm not surprised. When JP's on, he's ridiculously sick. Hope he becomes resident there- need a regular JP fix. Even if Exit is joke of a club. I can only listen to the SF CD's but so many times.

Does anyone think the show had an impact on JP leaving? The show cast such a negative light on the club. Not saying it was the overriding cause for JP leaving, but i wonder if this influenced Grant's decision. The timing of the show and the recent announcement seems to coincide.

I just heard some of the Grammy nominations this year. Has music gone down the fuckin tubes or what? I mean Emimen is alright, but he's gonna walk outta there with "Best Album", "Best Song" and "Best Hip-Hop Album & Song". Funny thing is he even raps about how he couldn't give a fuck about the Grammy's, but watch- his ass will be sitting in the front row. His competition- Paul Simon? Radiohead? Who the fuck is voting? Not that there's much to choose from. It ain't like it used to be with fuckin M.Jackson, Prince, Janet, Tribe called Quest, U2, Pearl Jam, Rage, Pumpkins, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and on and on. And did Madonna get nominated for anything? Sade? Toni Braxton? Who wants to watch the fuckin MTV posse (Eminem, Nsync, Brittney, Christina, Backstreet, et al.) march up on stage as well as perform. I'm sick of Limp Biscuit too. I swear music has really gone down hill. Thank God for dance music & remixes of pop songs & Napster. peace

I walk thru times square every morning and i checked him out yesterday. Huge crowd, Howard Stern's cronies were there, bunch of cameras and police. Funny thing is there was just this huge block of ice with Blaine in it; he was just standing looking at everyone, like a mannequin or something. Nothing spectacular. I think he's pretty good, like a more hip, modern David Copperfield. I saw his girlfriend on the news. Dumb as a rock, but she is absolutely slammin. peace
