Sorry, but I don't care how you slice it. $50 door for a 3am start at a club with no rep or anticipation? Maybe it's just me, but I'm not hearing a big buzz about Late Night Empire yet... who knows, maybe the grand opening goes off this weekend and warrants the cover.
It's the venue and the crowd that makes the draw; a big-name/draw DJ by himself isn't going to do it alone, not with a huge cover attached. Boris kills it, I've seen him in both NYC and LV and he doesn't disappoint. But his last time through LV I paid mmmmaybe $20 at most.
Mind you, I'll probably wind up lining up at Empire and shelling out. But it's still steep. With women getting in free but guys paying $50... well, let's just say even through whatever colored glasses I'm wearing at the time, I'm still going to take one hell of a close look at who's lining up to get in.
id rather pay the 50 in advance the give 50 to a fckin bouncer or dorrman and then pay a cover, halloweenis nuts and if u dont think boris will attract a crowd for this event ur seiously mistaken. I already have about 20 people that r down for this event............and i see boris every other week at crobar and ill still pay it........3am theres no sleeping in vegas anyway lol

I dont live in vegas but ive been there a ton of times and keep up with the new openings and club scene and i have to say that I can classify popularity into different groups as stated above, but what i saw at pure was fckin insanity. Never have i seen a lLOOOOONG line at a club at 8:30 PM on an off weekend ... I mean c'mon..............and it was all types of people at 8 fckin 30 I knew somebody and still took an hr to get in, like a big hudled mass outside the fckin vip ropes!!! I mean im from NYC so ive seen sick crowds and long lines but shit starting that early. I can clearly say Pure to me is the most popular right now, but i do hear tao is taking away some of thier crowd. I guess ill see during halloween

Ferry Corsten is in Amsterdam, Cologne and Dublin from Friday-Sunday of Halloween weekend. IF he is in Vegas, it would have to be Monday.
Boris is at Empire on Saturday, same night as Sasha at ICE.
What I'm curious about is what big act, if anyone, is getting lined up for Monday night. Would be a shame to see Halloween night go without at least one heavy hitter in town.
damn, really enjoyed havin judge jules there last year. Wanted to hear anothe INTRN'L Dj besides sash, he really never did it for me. Guess its boris. How is the club hes dj'ing at???Who is doing the rain halloween party and what night is it sat or sunday?

Can't really tell. I wnt there on 4th of July on their opening weekend and it weasn't as crowded as their Wed, Fri and Sat. No doubt there will be a good crowd. Just not packed liek the other nights. Thurs I'd recommend Light, Tabu or Risque.
I went to light the last time i was in vegas and had the most fun there out of anywhere else, I dont know who the dj is but he played some real good music
I usually am not a fan of hearin hip hop in clubs but he had me goin all night

Thursday is kind of slow at Tangerine so do Body English on Thurs and Tangerine on Friday.
U think it will be slow even on labor day weekend?
