  3. Tong is friends with lots of DJ's...I don't think that means anything. I personally like it as well... Is it the second coming? No, but it's a nice track for what it is.
  4. It's because Sharam was dropping it 3x in his sets alone...which is overload in my opinion, even if it his track. Also it's familiar to people...any record that samples from the past has that going for it...but if you sample a weird song like Eddie Murphy's "Party all the Time", I'm just not so sure. I know there are people that like it, I'm just personally not feeling it...as far as loopy 80's tracks go there are better ones out there.
  5. honestly I can dig the 80's loop records but this one I am just not feeling....hype can take records a long way sometimes.
  6. yea, last track on their album, called "Flashing For Money." Was more of a mash than anything. The original mix of their "Flashdance" doesn't have it though. more info: http://dancemusic.about.com/od/reviews/fr/DeepDishFlashin.htm
  7. I'm just a spoiled Madonna brat and want my good floor seats Which will be $350... Def check the ticketmaster site though about AC, I think the seats are cheaper but I'm not sure what the price levels are or when they go on sale exactly.
  8. well...lol the "good" ones are $350 (does not include all the additional fees) and the rest of the prices go as follows (these prices are only for MSG, not sure what AC is): $160 $99 $64 Right now I got two at the $160 price (part of a fanclub pre sale however they go on sale Monday morning for gen public--MSG). Honestly the only way I'm paying $350 is if I know I'm getting ill floor seats (which would have to be thru connections). I just can't believe the 350 price tag. It's nuts. My advice would be to go for the AC show, I'm pretty sure you have better chance at grabbing better seats there. Anyhoo... As for JP I must agree with you that after '01 or so JP fell off....probably due to the drugs but who knows. However before then for several years he was very on point and did his thing WELL. For 15 hrs straight every freakin weekend. Have to give props to that....him and SF were hot in the late 90's and there's no denying that, regardless of how things are now.
  9. there's this one too I still rock... Beat Sleyer vs Dire Straits - Money For Nothing http://www.streetwisemusic.co.uk/catalogue.asp?stockId=130309
  10. haha yea I'm really on point today obviously, someone bumped it, didn't realize
  11. There was a time where Webster Hall was cool, back in the early 90's...now obviously not. More for the clueless and touristy...however that's fine, that's what they do and they obviously do it well. They also have nites promotionally connected to radio stations like Z-100 on weekend nites which I'm sure help them out plenty money wise. Maybe they're paying off the right people, or maybe there really isn't the crowd that these cops think they should be targeting. Also Webster has been around so long isn't the building considered a landmark or something? I could totally be making this up but for some reason that's floating around in my head right now.
  12. ahh smokesum! geez...yea I had no idea this was your name on here.
  13. wait, I have no idea who this is, perhaps that is why...lol my bad. also I'm in a cranky mood from her off the wall ticket prices right now, sorry
  14. Wow, I really hope you're kidding me, cuz I'm DEJA. And I do not just post about Madonna tracks, look at any of the various posts on the board right now...NONE are her. Unreal.
  15. saw frankie play in miami this year at def mix party, as usual, good stuff
  16. I second this notion
  17. If you guys wanna check this track, Tong on Radio 1 dropped it a little bit ago, so you can listen online... As for this track...it's a nice sounding club track, that's it. Not worth the hype in my opinion....only reason there is a buzz is b/c of the lyrics.
