  2. OK I posted on the NY board, but maybe I'll have better luck here. Does any one know of a good Doctor around the Upper East side? Just moved into the city and need a general/internal meds doc that is easy to get along with. Ya know, not the rush you out, stuffy, don't tell me you hurt cause I don't see anything wrong with you, now pay at the front, kinda doctor. any help is greatly appreciated.
  3. bump... OK if not UES then how about Midtown. Or anyone I should stay away from. It's hard finding a good doctor, any help is greatly appreciated.

  7. I was there about 2 months ago for my sister's bachelorette party. We ate at the Chelsea Brewing Company first then walked over to the show. The people at the Brewery were very, cool. Filled my sister up a few free shots. The food wasn't bad either and it's right on the water, so the view was nice too, you can get anything from pub food to nice entrees. It's not pricey either It's not a far walk to the Donkey show from the Peers. We had a blast at the show. It's not a sit down kinda thing. The show goes on all around you, litterally. It's basically Shakespear's, Midsummer Nights Dream told thru Disco music. The bartenders were pretty damn liberal with their booze after I tipped them well. But that's usually the case anywhere you go. I thought the Donkey show was a much better idea than going to one of those Chip-n-dale/HunkoMania kinda things. Those are kinda pathetic. Anyway we had a limo pick us up after the show and cart our polluted butts around the city and then back home to CT. The girls are still talking about it. You can get a discount/group package if you have more than 10 people going. The bride gets in free and she also gets a little party pack with some nice bachelorette stuff, like a feather boa, t-shirt and other things. I would reccomend it... definatley. hope that helps
  8. http://www.petfinder.org There are plenty of animals that already need homes. If you are considering getting a puppy, please look to the shelters/animal hospitals first. They are usually much cheaper than breeders anyway. And I think the animals are more appreciative than if they come from breeders. Just my personal experience... My family has always gotten our dogs at shelters and we have never had any regrets. Until my sister got her Husky from a breeder/pet store. The thing is as dumb as a stump and pisses all over the place.
  9. Anyone have any reccomendations on where to go/what to do in NY or CT for a Bachelorette Party? Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. I have a little Chi - MinPin mix. She is just about 8lbs. When I first got her she would'nt go near anyone else. I adopted her from a shelter who resued her from a kill house, so she was as bit shaken up from that experience. She is a bit timid with strangers, but lets people pet her. Once she gets to know someone, they are best friends. When I first got her, I took her out everywhere, so she could get accustomed to meeting new people and going to different places. Having heard the same thing about small dog breeds, how they are not very social, and get very exitable, I think it helped alot. She still would rather check people out on her own terms, but doesn't go nuts when people go to pet her. Now storms are a different story. She's a mess when it thunders out, ditto for fireworks. She shakes, hyperventalates (sp?), and hides under furniture. With other dogs, she forgets her size and thinks she is the biggest thing on the block, and lets them know it. But once she gets to know them she is cool.
