  1. How can 95/96 be the cut off when that's around the time clubnyc launched?
  2. Good set...Age of Love really took me back. Musically speaking, 97-99 were probably my favorite club years.
  3. Twilo....ah the memories. The most enjoyable, welcoming, and memorable club experiences were definitely in that place.

  5. Unfortunately, I fall into that group of people who never met her personally. But if there was one name I remember from when I used to post on this and the Twilo board back then, its hers. She definitely brought a lot energy to this place, and I'm sure her presence was all the more positive for those that got a chance to meet her. Clearly she had a lot of passion for both music and life itself because I remember her being responsible for bringing a lot of people together through meetups....I now really regret never attending one, especially since I was probably right there in the club when many of them occured. Though these days I never post here and rarely visit this site and my clubbing days are pretty much behind me, I had to reply to say its good to see her remembered with your post iliana.
  6. Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar Danny Tenaglia - Elements Faithless - Insomnia Faithless - Salva Mea Carl Cox - Let the Bass Kick Funky Green Dogs - Fired Up Underworld - Cowgirl Binary Finary - 1998 (Matt Darey Mix) Push - Till we meet again Push - Universal Nation Paul Van Dyk - For an Angel
  7. Binary Finary Live in Australia and hearing them drop the original 1998 Mauro Picotto - first appearence at Twilo in 2000 When Sister Bliss dropped Insomnia by Faithless as her last track of the night at Twilo in 2000 and they turned up the Phazon, her first and only appearence there
  8. Also, if you didnt know, when you downloaded Kazaa you also downloaded a bunch of spyware programs that comes attached with it. If you want to get rid of the spyware on your machine you can try this: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,7423,00.asp But, bear in mind, as soon as you remove Kazaa's spyware program (I think its called Cydoor), Kazaa will no longer work, but if youre gonna delete it anyway might as well use it.
  9. Its off an old Oakenfold Set from 1998, I'm sure its an anthem, but cant get the name of it, anybody know the name of the track.
  10. Sorry, I had to get in on this one. First off PC's today completely BLOW the Xbox out of the water, why, cause all Xbox is is a 2 year old PC maketed right, but once you look at the specs you see its nothing special. The chip controlling the Xbox is an Nvidia Geforce256, which was the first geforce and it was available on PC's a little over 2 years ago. You can already get a high end Geforce 3 for PC for just a little over $100. You say nothing under $2000 runs faster than 60 fps, Dell is offering computers under $800 which come with a 64MB Geforce2 MX standard, and last time I checked those ran Quake III (better graphics than Halo) at over 100 FPS. Besides, in terms of frame rates (Frames per second = fps) unless you're superman your not going to notice anything over 35fps. And in terms of watching it on a TV all cards have TV out now so you can connect them to a TV. in terms of sound, The new Soundblaster Audigy cards go beyond 5.1 Dolby because they support EAX HD (a new kind of surround sound for games in which the terrain also effects the sound) this will never be out for Xbox, and you can currently get them for $80, and they'll soon be standard on all PC's. Also, the best games always hit PC first, wow, Xbox has Halo, there so many FPS games for PC with better gameply and graphics its hard to keep track among them Half Life, Unreal Tournament, Giants, Quake III, Undying.....blablabla. Max Payne just came out for Xbox, its been on PC for a year (and it still runs better and looks better on PC) Last, but most important, to say what someone else said, Yes, all the games for Xbox will soon be available for PC...but that person forgot to mention you'll be able to download em for FREE. Ever hear of an emulator, they are free downloadable hacks that let you run console games for free on your computer. and since the Xbox is nothing more than an overhyped old school PC it will be the easiest thing to hack cause there's no code to break. If you're gonna go with a console go with PS2, it plays DVDs, is a lot cheaper than Xbox, and in the long run will offer better games. A cool gaming site to help ya choose is www.gamespot.com if you want to know more about hardware go to www.sharkeyextreme.com . my 2 cents.
  11. spoony d was the DJ, the entire tracklisting of the set is at Twilo's board.
  12. Plextor is the best, but it can be a bit Pricey compared to others burners that are pretty much just as good. The absolute best bang for the buck is without a doubt the Hewlett Packard 9100 series, right now you can get an Hewlett Packard 9150i for as low as $120, Plextors will be at LEAST $100 more. Like I said, Plextor is the best burner to buy, but when it runs in the $250 range, for $120, the HP is a pretty excellent number 2, the HP burner was in Cnets (and every other computer ratings) top 5 list all this summer and last year before Plextor came around this fall. Just a suggestion. Oh, by the way, DONT buy Sony, unless you want coasters instead of CD's. J&R computer world downtown is selling it for like $140, you can check their website at www.jandr.com . 13. ooana, HE DOESN'T WORK FOR TWILO, Twiloboss himself said he didnt know who this turkey was, dont believe anything vvebmaster says, he's just a drama starter.
  14. Poor here, recient graduate so now I'm going to be really poor. It's alright though, I still have my big weekends every once and awhile. Its funny that someone mentioned the Twilo board cause a couple of days ago someone did a post about staying in on most weekends - a decent amount of people replied, including myself. A lot of people out there only have a big night maybe once or twice a month, and some people mentioned it was because their budget wouldn't be able to handle a big night out every weekend, besides, how big can a night be if you do it every weekend, spacing your clubbing nights out make them so much sweeter on the weekends you do go clubbing.
  15. Anyone know what or where to find Sandra Collins latest tour dates. The kinetic board only lists till this past December. Thanks in advance.
