  1. HAHAHA

Omg, i haven't been on this board for few a years, since moving to LA (no one ever posts messages there).

Just got an inkling to check NY message board for some reason and the first post is about old timers. What a coincidence. Thought everyone who still posts here are the young'ins who just joined 3 years ago or so.

    Take care.

Btw, most LA clubs suck compared to NYC clubs...even those that were open even a few years back.

  2. If you meant that Club Exit in Greenpoint, on Manhattan Ave, then it is a nice dark and medium sized club, playing dance/house/club music. From what i remember, you need to dress somewhat decent, and majority of the clientele is Polish/European or at least was few years ago. Good thing is that they don't play any rap/top 40's like most other clubs do.

  3. From Dance/club music the first album would probably be No Limit by 2 Unlimited and a good single from that would be "Let the Beat Control Your Body." Then i bought a tape of Dr. Alban (some British club guy).

In the mid 90's it was Homework by daft punk; Prodigy; & chemical brothers.

I think some of you might remember them :)

  4. West Hollywood is the place for exclusive hip parties...hollywood blvd & santa monica blvd. If you want big name DJs and like electronic music, the big/mega clubs are Avalon on Vine St. and Spundae on Santa Monica Blvd.

  5. Vicious ripped it up last night....

WHen entering the club at 2 AM, it was close to like being back at the Tunnel, with a lot of classic tracks.

    ---The club was reasonably crowded throughout the night, but comfortable as well w/enuf room to dance;

    ---Crowd was friendly and mixed,

---Music was hard and tecky for the most part w/ some vocal tracks...

Overall the place seems to have an energetic feel to it last night.

BTW, did Avalon always have that fake snow(or whatever it was, foam maybe?) falling from the top?

  6. I totally agree what ppl said about this weekend at Avalon . It was awesome.

I've been in Avalon a few times before in the past 3 months, and the previous parties lacked energy, the venue felt and looked kinda half empty, and the ppl had no vibe....

But this weekend was freezing like hell, but it was a total opposite of what i wrote above.

    Excellent energetic music and vibe.

ANd shit load of different types of ppl having a great time..

  7. Berniec, your kinda right about the nightlife there.... there are a few clubs on buorbon st. that spun something like house/club music, but nothing even close to what we have hear...

its mostly like djjohn said::::shit load of beer, beeds, girls, people doing wierd things, and guys trying to get pictures of every pair of tits they can find...

All in all, a different and fun experience for a few days least once in your life.... but staying for a week would get kinda boring though....

  8. I dont know if all you still party as hard as few years ago but for more than a year now club scence has really deteriorated with all the big clubs closings and nightlife restrictions...

For me personally i go out clubbing/bars/lounges in phases and post on the board every so often.

  9. fun and witty your professor must be....:pint: ...(liked the comment)

anyways, i read your post and its good that your findings led you beyond the physical structure of the world. (stimulates the brain)

its good that there are some ppl here that are able to think outside the box and are intrigued by the philosophical aspects of life and existence.

i would love to hear more and get into fascinating conversation....

    but,.......im not.....at this time. :hat::D

I dunno how many ppl actually read the whole post, but if noone 'here' takes any inkling, there are many messageboards on the net, where you can discuss your ideas with like-minded individuals, who appreciate different personal perspectives and discoveries.

  10. I think you guys have got the names mixed up.

In my understanding, a move called "Party Monster" is the movie with McKauley Culikn playing the role of extravegant, rakish and charismatic club promoter named Micheal Alig (used to be the "it" man of promoters for clubs like the TUNNEL and LIMELIGHT), who later on killed a drug-dealer and braged about it on TV (if im not mistaking).

I guess there are references to Gatien in that movie.

Because i have no clue if there is a movie called CLub Kids about Gatien himself.

  11. I've had Voicestream and now T-Mobile for the past 3 years.

The service was cheap and it covered almost all areas in ALbany and NYC for like 2 of those years w/o major problems.

Lately though, its been sucking ass...get receive or make calls on half of i-87. There are periods of several hours during the week (especially weekend nights) in which there is no service or connection in NYC.. etc.

I agree with some ppl here,

Verizon covers more area and gets better service and more connections go through lately...

However Verizon used to suck ass 2 years ago. So i guess you should go with a company that offers good service and reliability right now, then change if it gets sucky. DONT sign no 2 year contracts no matter who you pick though... heh
