  1. Sorry, but I had to miss it. I was at Kaskade that same night at Cloud Nine. A lot of fun, as well. I do hope Daniel comes back later in 2007--just not on the same night as other stuff.
  2. Oh no. With all the melodrama surrounding Manhattan nightlife yet again, a situation like this is definitely NOT good.
  3. "Age is just a number." "You're as young as you feel." Two rather trite quotes, but the fit perfectly..I'm 33, but I've only been clubbing for a decade. I have no plans to stop now or anytime soon...I tried in 2003, but it lasted a mere two months.
  4. Hmm, try www.picturethisdetroit.com for starters. Also have you ever checked out Blue's website (www.bleudetroit.com) ?
  5. You're not, really. Just that most people are onthe NYC boards--that's wher all the real fun is.
  6. With so much that weekend, it doesn't look really good, but I'll certainly try to make it.
  7. I can't wait to see this. A great way to start the ID4 Clevceland 2006 weekend!

  9. Dave: You've heard me say this before, and I'll say it again: CLEVELAND! There is a strong community here in the New American City, and as a ten-year veteran clubkid, I want everyone to know about it. Especially the thousands of Manhattanites who read and use ClubPlanet each & every week. (quit laughing, will you?!) I'll be more than happy to provide a list of our Downtown nightclubs for your records, and I actually just started a new thread under Clubbing In Other Areas, entitled "CHUNK!", a special night here featuring George Acosta, Baby Anne, Dieselboy and Filo & Peri, all on 28 July at Metropolis Cleveland. You and the staff should come see for yourself--please contact lead promoter Michael Mellon at michael@trunightlife.com. Looking forward to the Cleveland board.

  11. Things have been busy here in my hometown. Since I finally have some online pics, here's two of htem now. One is what I look like in broad daylight. The other is definitely not. See if you can tell the difference.
  12. OK, I guess you would say that about your own. I can't agree as I have yet to hear Jonathan Peters yet--all I know is that ever since that MTV True Life crap, he's been downhill ever since.
  13. Cut that out! You wouldn't say that about your own DJs, would you?

  15. Can't believe he's coming back to the North Coast. I saw him the first time back in January, and he was just as amazing then.
  16. Darude's coming back?!? Wow. I don't know how it's possible, but this time I won't miss it!
  17. Yeah, thanks. I have yet to attend a Conference, and I hope 2005 will be my lucky year.
  18. Usually, the average nightclub/bar or restaurant in Cleveland USA last about two years before it either closes or reinvents itself under new bosses. Given this damned recession, shutdowns are more likely. Except for Moda. Many people (mainly locals) said it would never last a year. But since its opening back in October 2002 featuring Deep Dish, it has become one of the USA's best dance venues by bringing some of the Free World's legendary spinsters to the New American City (and in many cases, the State of Ohio) for the very first time--including Saeed & Palash, Christopher Lawrence, King Britt, George Acosta, Seb Fontaine, Josh Wink and DJ Irene. This year alone, Moda has welcomed Tiesto, Derrick Carter, Sandra Collins, Micro, Paul Van Dyk, Dieselboy, and Tiesto, among others--and there's more to come before the end of 2004. One can only guess what the future holds for Moda. So whether it's a regular visit or the very first time, please join the danceaholics, fashionistas and social butterflies of the North Coast on Saturday 2 October 2004 at 8:00PM to celebrate Anniversary Two, with local favorite DEVIANT of HeadRush Music, plus BENNY VELEZ, and the return of MiamiDade South Beach star SAMMY O. Complimentary beverages will be available until Midnight, with ladies receiving free admission and VIP upgrades until Midnight as well. Moda: Anniversary Two. The time is now. Get ready to MODA Anniversary Two featuring SAMMY O Grooveman Music MiamiDade South Beach plus DEVIANT HeadRush Music Cleveland and BENNY VELEZ Saturday 2 October 2004 8:00PM-3:00AM 1871 West 25 Street Ohio City Cleveland OH 44113 216-781-3805 www.modanightclub.com 18 and over; 21 to drink--please have ID ready. Proper attire please. Admission & VIP upgrades free for ladies until Midnight.
  19. LOLOLOL Hey, I don't have any kids, but after seven nonstop years as a clubkid, my body's starting to send signals saying "stop it." Like one too many gray hairs in all the WRONG places. At this point, I'd need to become a just to keep going.

  21. Hey-- I don't know who all of his friends are (and I've known him for at least four years). but they were all out on Saturday night--till around Noon, I think. I had to call it in at 2:30--way too old for afterhours anymore. As for Dan Petrov, I don't know what other boards he's on, but I know that there are more than a few Clevelanders who are here on ClubPlanet.
  22. Perfect! Oh, one more thing: it's also a birthday celebration for one of the North Coast's flagship clubkids: Napoleon Rossi.
  23. Female DJ fans, get ready to The award-winning DJ Colette returns to Cleveland OH USA this Thursday (24 June 2004) as part of the Karma Vinyl Series. One of the few female spinsters to break the DJ culture's glass ceiling, Colette has been an industry forerunner since age 17, when she began singing over house tracks for other DJs while promoting her own events. Two years later she bought another DJ's old turntables, and it was on from there. She would merge with Lady D, Heather, and Dayhota in 1997 to create the famed SuperJane collective, where she became a breakout star. Now residing in Los Angeles, she was named Best Breakthrough DJ in 2003 at the DanceStar USA Music Awards and picked up an award for Best Song In A Commercial (produced with Felix Da Housecat and Paul Van Dyk). She makes it a habit to visit the North Coast twice a year, most recently at Moda in February. Performing along with her are several North Coast favorites including Doug Burkhart, Quantum and Karma residents Bonita De La Penthouse and Reese. Tickets are $5 for 21 and over, please.
