i always wondered how they got to the club with those platforms. did they walk? did they take a taxi, and if so, did they have to wait until they got out to put their shoes on?

I was right there with you back in those days. i havnt been into the club scene at all the past few months, or even years by now. I randomly hop onto good old CP today and see that rodger is spinning, so I may have to go check it out....

There are about 20,000 music fans coming to vegas for a few concerts by some band from vermont, and lots of us are just as excited to go out after said concerts, as we are for the actual concerts (which is saying a lot). You may have seen some of us out latenights in miami for new years and the nights before. If so you know that we know how to bring the party, but the question is where should we bring the party too? any recomedations?? House, no trance please (also, there will be tons of extra tickets in the parking lot at the Thomas & Mack center if anyone wants to come check us out)

I know that this has to still be around, but I have lost touch. at crobar, erick was on by 12:40. I didnt notice to many SF types there, and I was there past 5:30 These 2 should not even be mentioned in the same sentence unless your talking about DJs that have spun into the wee hours. thats really the only compairison. and as far as tracks, dont you realize that any dj can play the same song that any other dj's spun.

I think what part of the problem is, is that so many kids start going to SF, and keep going back and back, and they think that is what clubbing is about, when in reality, they have never been anywhere else and have no clue. SF is SF. Its a place people either love or hate, and each group, and every person have their own reason(s). to me, SF is not even a place I would even consider going annymore, no matter who was playing there. Over the past couple of years, this messageboard's population has lost many of the older members who would always be going to different places and seeing all the the NYC nightlife had to offer. We would have conversations of the different places, and you could get a lot of info here. Who is still here, (mostly) are people who go to the same place every week (or however often they go out, but in mpost cases its just about every week), and would never immagine going somewhere else. There are clearly (at least) 2 different kinds of clubbers, and clubbing. Some people do it this way, some people do it that way, some people have even yet another way.

djcs219, sorry its not your thing, but please stay at factory, and far away from crobar. from the sound of it, its right up your ally. sobe, fucking right on answers! my crew had a blast up on the balcony and on the dancefloor right on front of the dj booth. PLEASE GET ERICK BACK THERE

I agree with all of the positive comments. Got there at 12:45 and was VERY surprised to see EM on the decks already. the music was about a 8.0 (therer were a lot of long pauses, ill never understand that), until about 3:00 when he stepped it up to about a 9.4, by 4:30, we were at about 9.6, where it stayed until I left at 5:15ish and Erick was still on the decks! It was my first time in several months and just when I thought that NY lightlife would never come back, BAM! I'm blown away by crobar! This is the kind of place that should have been in existance for years. I dont knnow why it took this city until now to create such a venue. My only comnplaint (if I had to have one) was that some of the crowd was stright out of the jersey shore. I just havnt seen people like that for a long time. It was a small percentage, but oh man, were they nasty. GREAT STAFF!!! everyone from the door, to the hosts, to the waitresses, to the barteneders were all top notch. I CANT WAIT to to have another evening there.... PLEASE CROBAR, keep the HOUSE DJs coming!

centro fly was busted for about the last year it was in existance, they were hoping that renovating would bring back that old feeling that it had in late 99-2000.

yea, every song says artist and title, unless its part of a live studio mix, then it just tells you whos in the studio spinning. you, can even brose the stations by looking at either station name, artist being played, or song being played (at least on my reciever, and im pretty sure most others)
