  1. Hey all, I lived in SF for the past year and a half and never saw a DJ e anywhere out there, especially at 1015 or any of the respected events, and I also spent the last , month of the summer in Ibiza and never once heard anyone make mention of SUPERSTAR DJ Domink Filope...whoever he is. On an island full of world class DJ's...I reckon him not to be one of the. If they are gonna try and use the name and make it like the old days...why not use the DJ's...How bout S&D, PvD, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler. Whoever is doing this night....if you want to be taken seriously...put some serious DJ's in the booth!
  2. Hey all, Wanted some input from people: Looking to bring a new party to NYC and the Hamptons. Bi-monthly progressive house and progessive trance party. Musical styles along the lines of Sasha and Digweed, Tenaglia among others. Trying to bring a little more life and diverstiy to the scene. Looking to keep the music on the edge and the crowd diverse. Any thoughts on a good venu? Do you think it could work?
  3. Trance did not start in Ibiza, in Europe it could be argued that Germany brought Trance/Techno into the light, like the UK is many times credited with bringing garage (vocal house). As for the US house and techno/trance go back to chicago and detroit. As for the best clubs in the world....it's all a matter of opinion, but Sat. at Twilo.....Junior has definately lost his edge. You can't honestly say that he pumps tracks and mixes amazing sets like he used to.....it seems like he doesn't care anymore. Sound Factory Sat.........not like it used to be. A year ago the Sound Factory was the best place, but then Jonathan started playing his 30 minute "My Love Is Your Love" shit. Again, it's not like it used to be. As for Exit, I think people are just in awe of the size of the place. Not too many supeclubs like that in the US. I must say that these days Vinyl is the place. Danny Tenaglia rocks the fucking house like he used to at the Tunnel (when he first started doing....was it D-Tour). He has been untouchable as of late. That's just my opinion. The "trendy" clubbers who just got into the scene mostly go where the flavor of the month is. Seek out the best DJ's and the best music. The best DJ's and the best music, along with one of the best sound systems.....TWILO. Van Dyk, Sasha and Digweed, Carl Cox, among other greats run the show on Fridays. Not a better place in the world to see top DJ talent. ------------------

  5. Sandra Collins is more than just OK. I've seen her a couple of times and was blown away each time. Wait till Tranceport 3 comes out, and see for yourself. As for other female DJ's. DJ Irene is good also, and DJ Rap is awesome as well, but more of a drum n'bass and jungle specialist, plus she is as dope as they come. DEVAN J ------------------
  6. I'm not a big fan of the new Euphoria, I think the best tracks are on the end of disk 2. The Anthony Pappa is great, also the new "CREAM live" is real good. I like Matt Darey, but I think he could've picked better tracks. The Euphoria series in general is a no lose. DEVAN J ------------------
