Is there a liquor licence at Vinyl? And what's the age limit?

I didn't forget anybody. And if you want to be technical....favorite...best...whatever...they still aren't mainstream. And as for not writing the names you supplied....I did end my list with "etc...etc" which means it keeps on going. Squash the drama? I didn't think there was any, just my opinion. But thank you for reminding me why I don't enjoy posting on this board...anytime someone posts an opinion that differs from the population, it's regarded as drama. I wasn't aware that these are mainstream DJ's. I think this poll needs to be re-worked. Tenaglia, Sasha, Diggers, Howells, Lawler, Kleinenberg, Hawtin, Wink, Seaman, Emerson, Debo, Ashley Casselle, D:Fuse, Cass, DJ Dan, Deep Dish, Humate, Aquaviva, Pappa, Jimmy Van M, Sean Cusick, Garniet, Mixmaster Mike, Lawrence, Scott Henry, DJ Icey, DJ Rap, Odi, Futureshock, Danny Rampling, Nick Warren, Carl Cox, Max Graham, Charles Feelgood, Jody Wisternoff, Lee Burridge, Tony De Vit, Fergie, Lisa Loud, Lisa Lashes, Creamer, Maas, Lucian Foort, DJ Craze ...etc...etc.... That's what an "Ultimate DJ poll" would resemble. And besides with all the genres out there, it's impossible to say who's best. You're telling me Icey would be better than say Pappa? How can that be? Howells doesn't do breaks and big beat and vice versa. And none of these mofos are mainstream. Like someone said before...mainstream= commercial. Only Oakie's been on MTV...and we all know he sucks ass anyhow.

I just got the new mixmag last night and I loaded the cd into my player as soon as i left the shop. Damn it's sweet. You guys are right, that VanM track is nuts. Track 5 is nice too. How long does the demo need to be? I have a tape that's about 2 hours in length. Is this open to DJs where this may turn out to be a first gig for them? Just want to know if experience is required. As a DJ just starting out in the last year, I prefer wax. It allows a DJ to show their skill as a mixer and properly manipulate the record and table. Using CD, takes alot of fun out of it. But if there's an unrealesed track that the only way to use it is by burning it onto CD, then use a cd occasionally. Just got in from Diggers' bash and let me tell you all something...fucking un believable. The man totally remixes the song as he works. I've never seen such a calmer person at the decks. I watched him from the speaker mix 2 records for the entire 6 minutes they played. Perfectly! Met some cool peeps. Dude named Tim and his boys MArco and Dave. Real friendly. Yo I'm sorry we didn't get to smoke that J...maybe at Warren. some fly woman Michelle who I get the impression was not happy with her man. I've found that if I'm dancing with a cool chick and I offer my water, it's not a bad icebreaker if you want to keep chillin at the club together. But I'll only offer or allow someone a sip if I have a feeling I'll talk to them a bit about the club...I dunno...I'm way too nice at clubs because I do believe in what goes around comes around in terms of a friendly club vibe. I've been coming on this board for months and I've seen how it really does hold up to it's purpose...helping other clubbers meet up and hear inside tid bits on clubs and the scene. But thing boggles me is why some people who come on do nothing but try and stir up problems and other bs. I read alot here how the board isn't the same it used to be (And I haven't been on it long enough to know what "used to be" means). Why do we have the stupid and immature character assassinations on the the members and especially some newbies who come on with the sole intent of starting fights. It's so petty. I just can't understand the logic behind it. This board has a good reason for being around and it's an excellent forum for clubbing news and other related stuff, so why do some of you feel the need to start trouble? It's like they take it sooooo seriously. Why can't the ignorant ones simply be ignored? Wouldn't that start everything off in the right direction to keep a sense of peace and calm here? Get rid of Twilo so Vinyl and SF can prosper? Ok, Vinyl's a paht club. I heard DT a few months ago there and he blew my mind. But SF? I've heard enough about that place to never want to go and I won't. But to even try and offer SF as an alternative to Twilo and S&D, or Quivver or Cox or Groove Armada (Can't wait for that 6 hour set on 12/30), Sven Vath, Deep Dish,Paul Van Dyke...etc........it goes on and on This idea is a farce and should be seen as such. SF instead of Twilo...are you kidding me? And not for nothing but I've only been there once and I love the place. I don't have to go every week to tell you how awesome it was. One night for my first S&D was plenty to convince me that Twilo is without a doubt the best vibe and just an awesome club. And I don't drop anymore and haven't for a good 7 months. Smoke my trees often, but that also doesn't make me a drug addict. Sorry I went long, just felt like I should have.
