try to go there early in the month. the closer it gets to halloween, the more crowded it gets. I've seen lines outside that place longer than lines to get into clubs... go figure ------------------

I've been going to Montreal for, pretty much, my entire life. Sona used to be off the hook, but the last time I went, it was not impressive at all. I've never been to Stereo...but have heard many good things about it. Afterhours is afterhours...but don't even think about comparing Montreal's afterhours to NYC (it's not even close) If you're in the mood to go out drinking, go to a couple of strip clubs on St. Catherine before you go out...they're a lot of fun You then have a choice of going to Crescent Street or St. Laurent. The bars on St. Laurent are much nicer and have better looking crowds (the crowd on St. Laurent is predominantly French speaking). Crescent Street is full of cheezy bars that play cheezy music, but it's still a good time. Montreal loves house and techno, but they're not crazy about trance...so expect a lot of funky, deep house. ------------------
