I was simply stating that it's a discussion about clubs, hell if you check people bashed Buzz for having Deiselboy in the main room and then made an about face when they heard there was no mc, cause they don't like the mc.

Washington does have a good scene - I wouldn't want to trade it. Glow is a good club - never had many problems there. Lines and such are my main complaint - but you get that everywhere so deal right? However my point was simply not to go against the two largest clubs in DC...... I visit other clubs here in DC and I'm supporting friends that are trying to get events started elsewhere.

So if you want kick me off, but you're kicking me off for the wrong reason and you need to reread the posts. I don't live on this board, my friends are on this board - I have met many people on this board and because of this board - some of these people tend to over complain about one place or another.... If I've done it in the past then I'm sorry - but I can't recall myself ever having bashed one place for as long as the people cdoll is refering to. I voice my opinion then I'm done with it. Take it or leave it.

One last point. I'm sorry for a couple choice words I may have used, but sometimes passion flows within a post and I tried hard to keep it from doing just that - guess I failed huh?

^ Is anyone else as lost as I am with this post?

  4. Damn! What is going on here? Nothing but a lot of hating, apparently!

A moderator has come on here to try to limit the rivalry club bashing (because people- moderating IS their job!), and everyone wants to get sidetracked off the topic & bash the moderator? Keep it up people- where I live, that gets you booted off the message boards, no matter who you are (even Max Graham got booted off a board once!). By the looks of some of your total post counts, it would be a damn shame if you got booted off, since it looks like some of you live on this board.

I, on the other hand, see the point our moderator is trying to make. There is only so much bitching about Glow or Buzz one can take, and after a while, it gets old. I agree that it is sorta pointless, since they are not in competition with each other, & the talent they get is different. I used to be guilty of Glow bashing in the past, but it's a waste of time to keep rehashing the same subject matter over & over. Why can't the scene unify? or at least be civil? This thread has nothing to do about freedom of speech, moderating joy & happiness, or moderator's hidden agendas, like some of you have chosen to make it.

This has become an argument for the sake of arguing, and there is nothing much more ridiculous than that.

  5. I WISH it was only a 9 hr drive!! It took 11 hrs (thanks to traffic on the NJ Turnpike), & by the time we got cleaned up & to the party, we walked in just as he went on at 5am, & we left right after his 3 hr set. Remind me never to pull that shit again.... My Picottomobile hates me now. It got back at me by requiring $1300 (CAN) of work when I returned (not necessarily due to the long haul, but some expensive part went out that needed replacing on the trip, & all those nails in my tires didn't help).

I had a blast at Glow that nite- meeting new friends, seeing old ones, having DJ booth access, hearing a great set, and driving MP back to his hotel in my car- mission accomplished.

Hope to see you all at the next BXR dj event to grace our presence. -Nat

Most of u have seen these already on other boards, but just in case....

  6. I'd have to say the best (& final) party of this year's conference for me was the last night at Space ('00' Fleming, Jules, Tiesto, Pearce & Gielen). In fact, this ranks up there as one of the best parties I've EVER attended! I only regret forgetting to bring my camera inside (AGAIN!), & booking an early flight out, having to leave at 7:15 during Johan's set.

I met so many awesome people that night, and the music was magical! This was my 2nd time seeing Jules, & he was right on this time!!! Totally banging set, consistantly driving those beats. Really enjoyed Tiesto's set- was a big improvement over the last time I saw him. I don't even want to hear how good Johan was.....! Was surprised to hear the new style that Darren Pearce was playing on the patio- a major change from his Reactivate cd's- but it was really good & funky.

Did anybody see those crazy NY club kids on the patio, before Danny Tenglia came on??? OMG what a sight! Thoe moves with those platform boots!!!! Good to see that those people are still around.
