  1. How did you book the crescent? I called and they said that they only take reservations a month out. Can you give me the name and number of who you spoke to? I want a 2 bedroom suite there.
  2. Despite the downpour - and I'm talking sheets and sheets coming down and occasional lightening and thunder - PvD was SO ON! When he started his set at 6:00 - the rain had just started - and boy, it came down hard! no light showers or drizzle, it was a full on thunder storm and everyone got soaked and didn't give a shit.. His set was full of breaks, not alot of anthem songs, a few sunrise numbers and a couple signature PvD tracks. He's a master at telling a story through music - you can tell when he's warmed up and when he's winding down from what songs he plays. His set had a nice flow and wasn't too mainstream. by 9pm the rain was still pouring down and at least 700 dancing fans were drenched, soaked and cheering Paul on. Once people accepted that the rain was gonna stay, no one was going to let it spoil the day. If you can't beat it -Join it, was the attitude. Throw you're umbrella down, take you shoes off and dance in the rain until you can't feel it anymore. I think, for Paul, this was one of his finest NYC moments. You could see the cheek to cheek grin on his face - all these people came out to hear him play despite the monsoon like conditions. He kept coming to the side of the stage and passing out napkins. Even Paul and the DJ booth got wet. Mike Bindra (in black poncho) came on stage and held an umbrella over Paul, to keep him and his laptop dry, before the entire stage crew physically moved the DJ booth forward - midway through a song that didn't skip a beat. In the end, I would've preferred a dry event - but that was not going to happen, no one was going to let it ruin their day. Together, we all stuck it out. I think it was one of the best PvD events ever. I didn't go to Spirit - Would love to know how it went
  3. Mojado feat. Mr. Sam - Naranja (Dimitri Andreas Vision) Label: Black Hole Country: NL Release: 2004-03-08 This was the best song AvB played all night! I was dreaming about it on Saturday Plus - it was all over WMC (pvd and tiesto played it) and made me re-live WMC for a brief moment - i'm sure we'll be hearing it a lot this year! thanks armin!
  4. i'll be down there march 6-13th staying at san juan hotel on 16th & Collins... $69 a night!
  5. at 4:45am he played 'face to face' from 'out there and back' - that's my favorite song!

  7. Hey, I'm in Chicago this week - Wed thru Sunday - what is going on? Would love to hit great house/techno/trance/drum n' bass - etc parties. What are the cool venues?
  8. Check out this great web-site that profiles DJs, parties and other events around the world. Great interviews with Grandmaster Flash, BT, Darren Emerson & Tim Deluxe and more... You do have to register it view it - but it takes 1 minute - and is worth it! www.worlddj.com
  9. All I have to say - if it was PvD spinning at limeline the night after spinning at Exit - I don't care WHO was spinning where the 2 nights before. I would've been packed!!!! - Nokie dokey Oakie!
  10. Sasha will spin from 2am - 6am according to his US publicist at Kinetic Records
  11. the first cp person i met was casey/blueangel. she greeted me with a big smile, gave me a name badge and introduced me to everyone. she was the perfect hostess and always remembered your name god bless her soul.
  12. i really thought about hittting pvd at SF - but had no energy left after catching his set at space in miami - which rocked.... i'm still recovering maybe i'll hit s&d this month after my neurons have replenished themselves...
  13. I'm totally there! Staying at the Ocean's Five hotel on Ocean Drive baby ~ and i'm covering all the parties w/my camera! look for the chick w/the Sony PD100 running around. I can't wait!!!
  14. Mugwump - You were off the HOOK! I was so digging the way you dance!! BT was phenomenal! It was ideal to be at a club where everyone was totally into the beat, the crowd was small and intimate and i love CP folks!! Debbie - i'm calling you this weekend! Lina/Arthur - I love you guys!!! Petrol - wish u had been there
  15. I'm getting super-psyched for tonight. I'll be there early - with my Twilo t-shirt on. We should have a clubplanet meet-up. I've never been to Centro-Fly, where's a good place to meet-up inside, say midnight or so. When is BT coming on? I was advised to get there quite early!! It's going to be packed!! Also - BT will be signing CD's at Union Square Virgin at 6pm Who's in!!!
  16. The only place to go that is still kickin' is area 51 and Club One in the Deep Ellum area. You can also try Club Clearview (the oldest club in the city) that still throws some good events. It's actually three clubs in one - clearview / blind lemon / art bar -and it has a lot of character. Also pass by the old Starck Club in the West End area - i'm not sure what the club is called now - but they have techno parties from time to time (it's the uber-80's club where ecstacy started - was owned by grace jones and has a leather dance-floor) - don't know the address but everyone will know it. That's your best bet - cruise greenville avenue / hit deep ellum and stay away from the west end (except for the club mentioned) it's mostly county-western bars and karaoke. If you want a sweet-ass restaurant - hit ANZU in Oaklawn on McKinney Ave or Sushi on McKinney - Dallas does has some hidden jewels. enough said....
  17. Is anyone heading out to the UK on the 25th for Creamfields UK. I'd love to meet up with other CP folk while i'm there!! Actually does anyone know of any other cool parties in London for that weekend?? I've heard the NY one has been canceled? any news?
  18. Berlin clubs - kick NY's ass - the DJ's are hotter and fresher - the venues are sicker - ie Tresor / Kit Kat - the party goes all weekend w/out missing a beat, the kids are freakier, ecstacy is only $5 a pop, and the goverment realizes how much money they make off it all Can you beat that
  19. I would have to agree with Prague - even though i've never been there - I just know that it's full of unique excitement.- I've often dreamed about it. Other places - paris, of course - there's nothing better that a rave with 10K people on the quai by the Seine river with Notre Dame just across the way, blaring techno music until 6 a.m with no complaints or cops. Fun is just a way of life. Barcelona is another beautiful and progressive place to live with a great party life on the beachfront!!! ok - i need a vacation now ------------------ I went to the woods to live deep and suck the marrow of life and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when i came to die, discover that i had not LIVED!!!
  20. I never heard of jalapeno - ick!! i wonder if there's one for chopped liver? ------------------ I went to the woods to live deep and suck the marrow of life and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when i came to die, discover that i had not LIVED!!!
  21. I love this weather!!! I hope the cold front passes - i've put away all my sweaters and lined up my sandals and mules!!! It's mini's from now on! ------------------ I went to the woods to live deep and suck the marrow of life and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when i came to die, discover that i had not LIVED!!!
  22. My colleague just gave me a huge BAG of yummy Jelly Bellies. I love the toasted marshmallow. Since the light is dim in my office I munched on one that looked like a toasted marshallow but was in fact a horribly foul tasting buttered popcorn. YUK -that is the nasties taste. I'm going to search for more marshmallow to cover the bad experience!! Just wondering - what's your favorite flavor and which one would you rather walk across broken glass barefoot before eating? ------------------ I went to the woods to live deep and suck the marrow of life and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when i came to die, discover that i had not LIVED!!!
  23. WOW - that's really shocking! but it's amazing how things CAN work themselves out. It's probably much harder to re-live to experience and face the attacker in court a year later than when it happened. It's like, you deal with it and move on, and now you have to go through it again, only this time in detail in front of strangers. Good Luck to you girl. Will we see you tomorrow at Apples? I'll tell ya my story then. ------------------ I went to the woods to live deep and suck the marrow of life and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when i came to die, discover that i had not LIVED!!!
