The Big Wheel..
no kid should ever grow up without one.
although i'm still kinda wondering why they had plastic tassles on the ends of the handlebars.. that was kinda gay.. after all, this is a lean mean racing machine.
The Big Wheels were BAD!!! The tassels were the first thing to come off of it. That's the first time that I knew that I was a straight male!!!
Months of riding it craked the wheels and gave it a deep guteral sound. I enjoyed waking up the neighbors on my early morning sidewalk drags...!

I loved my starwars action figures! I remember that I prided them so much, that I wouldn't let my friends or cousins play with them. I think that my parents still have them in their basement. ($$$) Being a boy, I also prided myself in building the best treehouse/fort in the valley!

Count me in! Hopefully I'll still be Chicago.

Yes! I found out the exact name and address of the bar... It's Saxony Liquor and Lounge.
1136 W. Lawrence Ave. 8pm sounds alright. Below is a review of the place.
"...the careworn and scuffed Saxony Liquor and Lounge offers a dark, dive-like retreat from the Uptown commotion at Lawrence and Broadway. Much less threatening than at first glance, Saxony is also more low-key and less boisterous than other nearby taverns. Though there are barstools aplenty, the ample red leatherette booths are more accommodating. The super-cheap drinks are just a narrow aisle away. A jukebox at the far end carries rock ānā roll classics and country standards. Just inside the door before the lounge begins, beer and bottles to go can be purchased from a takeout..."
For our North West subruban friends...
1: Take the I-90 E/N-W TOLLWAY ramp towards CHICAGO.
2: Merge onto NW TOLLWAY (Portions toll).
3: NW TOLLWAY becomes I-90 E.
4: Take the KEELER AVE exit, exit number 44A, towards IL-19/IRVING PARK RD.
5: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto W IRVING PARK RD.
6: Turn LEFT onto N ASHLAND AVE.
7: Turn RIGHT onto W LAWRENCE AVE.
8: Head east, will be on your left before the Aragon

P.S. Sorry bout this long-ace post!

So I guess the "old mans bar" is where it's at! I do not know the exact address, but it is a half block west of the Aragon. It's on the northside of the street. Between Brodway and the Redline. There is a vertical sign announcing it's whereabouts, so it's easy to see from the street or sidewalk. (I think it's called Tony's???)You'll know when you're at the right place because on the right is a cash-n-carry and to the left is the bar.
As far as parking is concerned, I do not think that there are any parking structures, but there are pay lots there.
Anyone want to come up with a time???

I didn't get a chance to check out the website... But is there a "Bartending" degree available??? Maybe I can minor in mixology!

Yes, taking any type of substance will mess with you the next day. E, Pot, Alc, etc... I used to drink at the clubs and wake up the next day hurtin... Nothing is worse than wondering what happened the night before because you were too drunk to remember. $100 credit card bar tabs, gettin sick, making an ass of yourself. I'll take E any day over alc. Just only once a month!

Another meet up sounds cool... I know this cozy place on Lawrence, just west of the Aragon. It's a dimly lit "old man's bar" with leather booths. Some friends and I had a few drinks there before the Oakenfold show. Anyone else have any other places in mind???

Most of the clubs are either in San Antonio or Ibiza town (or on the road in between).
Ibiza town is really nice place to stay, but expensive(ish), Playa Den Bossa is a great place to stay and it's close to Space (the club) which is probably the best club in the world.
If your looking for villas try Villas international (just search on the web).
Cool! Thanks for your help B2B!

So where would be a good area to look for a hotel or villa? I'm def interested in somewhere close to the beach, the clubs, restaurants... My pri$e range: Medium. Not dingy, not exclusive. Time: Closing parties.
Thanks!

Yes, I do recommend Ra. And Drai is great late night. Drai is located in a dumpy casino on Flamingo and the strip-quite the supprise!
The one at the Hardrock is cool too. Tues and Weds may be kind of slow compared to the weekends.

My guy friends and girlfriends do agree with my reasoning. My reasoning is; that girls are masters at cheating and not getting caught. If you think that your girl is cheating, then she most likely is...
My advice? Find some girlfriends on the side. Call it... healthful competition!

For the size of the venue I thought it was a good show. I can def understand that his crobar show was much better. More intimate.
Ted from Chicago-scene.com was there taking a few mugshots, they should be up next week.
P.S. Did anyone happen to find a green photon lite by the water bar?

We can also play it by ear at the show, I am sure we will get some pretty good ideas of where everyone is going afterwards. Rive Gauche is also $15, it's free on the guestlist before 12, but we won't get there until probably 130 or 2. RedNo would def be better on a Friday. But with an all night guest list , Zentra and Le Passage are sounding real interesting. Anyone else feel the same way?
