  1. Do you consider "Skydive" to be fluffy Trance? I think it's a perfect example of how a track can live on. It's hot back in after being broken by Oakenfold two years ago. Anthony Pappa is a genius.

  2. AIRTRANCE premiers at Shampoo this Thursday night and it should be fabulous. My friend, DJ Gos, has the best slot - from 12:00 to 2:00am and his box is so damn clean!! I strongly recommend hitting it. Future DJ line-ups are to include Jimmy Van M, Dave Ralph (who was amazing in April), and Sandra Collins. And that comes from a pretty good source - I promise you.

  4. Robbie Tronco is not a dick. And as a close friend of his, I don't appreciate that comment. But anyway, I know and love everyone at Shampoo and they're really trying hard to make something happen. DJ Gos had the shitty slot on the 12th - 10:00, Buccafm.

And a little Newsflash to wet your palate . . . there's a new club scheduled to open in October. (This from a very reliable source.)

The name is Gasoline and scheduled for the opening party is none other than John Digweed. If Digweed comes to Philly, I'm stickin around. There's no telling what can happen.

I think a Philly meetup is in order. Set it up! I'm there.

And my vote for best track of 2000 is (c'mon kids you saw it coming) The Lights by the Underground Sound of Lisbon

    Thanks, Sweetie.

  6. I've heard it's a crackhouse, but I still want to do A.C. properly ... Enigma, Casbah, all the new clubs. I heard Casbah was good this past weekend, no good music, but a really good crowd - the kind that get dressed up. (It's always one or the other. Can't have both style and great music.)

I live in Old City. Partied at Transit Saturday for my friend Sal Dano, and let me tell you - HE WAS GREAT! Some of the shit that came out of his box was incredible - not Philly style thank the Lord. Darude's Sandstorm, Tranza's Enervate (hot back in) to name a few. I'd love to meet up. Let me know.

  7. You are going to have a blast!! Have fun and be safe!! My friend was at the 10th Anniversary and he was speechless! Listen, if you need any tips or some fabulous sites for listings and ongoings while your there, let me know. I still get updates and it pisses me off. I don't want to know Sasha and Sander Kleinenberg are at Space when I'm NOT there!!!! Again, be safe.

The mixed flowed very nice and you could hear the added touches that Seaman layers over some of the tracks.

CD2 is more on the trancey side. It's well programmed but I wasn't happy that he put the Baguio track on there. Nonetheless, it doesn't sound as bad as expected. Thumbs up on 'the fall' as well as Holden's 'Horizons' Those were the standout ones for me.

Overall a good cd but not a must buy. I think he did a much better job with Buenos Aires. That cd IMO, was one of the best GU releases.

Looking forward to hearing GU17 soon. I think that's the cd to take the cake.

I totally agree. It's not anything special. I don't find myself searching the sleevenotes for the names of . . . well just about everything that makes up a track. My Danny Howells should be coming in soon. That should be pretty fabulous!

P.S. . . How many fuckin times can you put Baguio and Porcelain on a compilation?? It's just like how many Ibiza compilations can be mixed . . . with the same tracks used over and over again? Pisses me off.

  9. "The Fall" is next to Godliness, "Horizons" remix by Warren is phenominal, and Seaman's own "Wuarp" and "1-800 Ming" are pretty damn good. He's the most modest mutha fucker I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Did you know he was the editor of Mixmag? Like I said . . . modest.

  10. Actually, I didn't make it to see Jules' Judgement Sunday @ Eden . . . Carl Cox's Birthday Bash @ Space was that evening (absolutely incredible). Like I said, no disrespect intended, but I went to Ibiza simply for the music and I was disappointed with his set. I thought you'd want to hear my opinion. That is what the message board is for, right? To voice you opinion on a topic. I'm new to this, so if I'm under the wrong impression, please, let me know.
