PIMPS rule the WORLD!!!
they also get to test ride the hoes!!
-
I nominate DT but since he's not available there must be some other hot talent out there, specially up and coming--how about Frankie Magz??---he rocked Exit over the summer
Who else????
-
I thought Corbett did a really good job, Dj Elevate is excellent for the mezz--that's the sound there---hard banging Chicago house music--it's always been there at Tunnel and makes the kids dance.
It was a good crowd--many of hotties too.
Overall a really good night at TUNNEL. Time to make it even bigger. Tunnel is blowing up once again.
Oh, the condition of the club--well, it's a lot better than it used to be. it's a tunnel anyway--a cave--it's meant to be like that.

TUNNEL is going to be slamming this Sat. I guarantee u---You so want to be there. Place is going to be offf the HOOOK!!
DJ Corbett---Old skool PRO is going to be banging the turntables. You don't want to miss him---everybody's going to be there.!!!
Last week was only a warm-up. This party is getting hotter every week. TUNNEL IS BACK!!!!
Be there or regret missing out!!!!

Who's going to get the bowl??? Honestly, are the Giants up to it?? are they kicking butt this sunday??
what u think???
-
Every club in my opinion is great--each one has its own vibe, feel to it so in reality it's not fair to compare them. I would easily go to any of these clubs without even thinking about it.
As for TUNNEL--I think it's great that it's making a comeback. U'll be cutting urself off from the scene by saying it's played out and not going. If u're openminded u can easily have a great time at Twilo, SF, Exit, Tunnel etc.
Did music ever get played out??? NOPE--so it doesn't matter where it's played as long as people have a good time.
-
it's time for another big Tunnel comeback--keep it up you guys that promote for that place
Tunnel is like the energizer bunny--keeps on going no matter what--
-
i also think that some people are more genetically predispossed to be shy--i've been shy too all my life but im able to bypass usually through self-talk, change of attitude etc,,,it does take some effort though and u become better at it if u keep trying
-
Is it good or does it sux like some people are saying in another board??
My take:
Exit's: loud--needs better tuning
Twilo's: overall the best--not the most powerful though that's Exit
Vynil: nice bass
Tunnel: good overall--could use some upgrading of front speakers over the bar
-
Im shocked!! This really works--people you must see it to believe it.
-
2 am??? probably cause sombedy is opening for him
-
Trust me---the place is going to be the bomb and off the hook. Everybody is headed there.
DJ Nero is going to be ripping it up on the turntables---he's no joke.
Nobody can beat Tunnel on a good night and this is going to be one of them. U miss, u'll regret it. Head to the Tunnel SAT. night.!!!!!!!
-
It's going to be Dj Nero--I've heard he plays awesome. TUNNEL is going to OFFFF the hooook. You WANT to be there--trust me. I'll be there too.

Im reading: "Excuse, Your Life is Waiting",
--the astonishing power of feelings by lynn grahbhorn
not a novel, a metaphysics/new age book
It's about the Law of Attraction and how what we focus on.."feel"..is what we get in life.---my guidebook for 2001
-
go to Vinyl this Friday...nothing wrong with the scene...it's what you make of it
-
sounds good for the Tunnel,,,I hope they keep that place banging left and right
btw,,,the most awesome place at Tunnel is right up the stair at the mezz looking down towards the mainfloor,,,on a good night---you can really experience the vibe of that place there
-
Been going there on and off one year now,,,
Tsettos/Baez-->Magz--->Boris
Exit is cool with me.
-
Gotta agree with the Tunnel thing,,,,Vicious will probably be GREAT at SF but he'll never be able to replicate Tunnel's vibe there....
every club's unique
-
one that can't no longer draw a crowd---other than spending 10 million dollars to shut it, rename it, and completly renovate it
is that possible????? i can think of one club that needs a solution to this problem
-
is the music getting too old??? nope
who cares if grandpa is spinning the records..if he can cue them, not scratch them, and keep the party going,,,that's all u need
-
jdogg,,that was a good one--

I was standing in line that night and it took me an hour for me to move 10 feet in that line. They were holding everybody back and yes a lot of people of all types were being rejected. The doorman was saying "We're being very selective tonight come back next week" 'cause apparently they had a bunch of COPS inside. It was not a racial thing. I was afraid I was going to get turned away too but luckily I made it in. And yes, there were Asians inside.
RELAX people, Exit is also under Guliani scrutiny so they have to play it safe on certain nights. Do you think that David Marvisi wants to lose 3/4's of the night's income intentionally??? NOPE--they're just trying to protect their 15 million dollars investment in that place and not end up going through the hassles that Tunnel went through and Twilo finds itself now.
-
Apparently, Johnny Vicious is more of a traveling DJ---he spins all over the metro area, in other states, and other countries.
I don't know the real reason why he left Tunnel but I guess maitaining an extended residency at the same spot is probably not his main priority right now. Otherwise, despite its drawbacks--my opinion is that he was having a successful residency there. It was just too short and too little.
Tunnel should move on and find their next star.

For me, it's DT---everytime I've been to his party--he's turned it out. Love his style, the way he works the soundsystem, the journey. And definitely, he makes people dance.
Danny Tenaglia--->Great DJ!!!
Whom do you nominate to be TUNNEL's new resident DJ??
in New York / New Jersey
Posted
let's hear it people,,,who else would be a good candidate for Tunnel resident
gotta agree though, that dj gotta play hard, fast beats---since there's a rave element to that place
