    I don't work for the government but our client is government so I had to go through all the hoops to get the job.

    As far as clearance, if you already have secret, getting top secret is just a matter of paperwork. Some people need to take a polygraph test, drug test, etc. You might also have to report any time you spend abroad (where, why, with who, etc etc). But if you have no skeletons in your closet, you should be fine. It just takes forever for them to go through the paperwork. Good luck!

    And gov't did go through some layoffs, they were just nowhere near as bas as the private sector (especially technology).

    pod - I wrote in my post that this is NOT for WMC. It's for my sister for a nice *relaxing* vacation..

    funketeer - yeah, I know! I've seen the roaches myself (thankfully, only in OTHER people's rooms LOL).. I'm trying to avoid putting my sister through that.

    I know it's not WMC time yet, but I'm trying to help my sister out. She's going to Miami for vacation in January and was asking me for some good hotels in South Beach. I can only remember a handful that I liked/didn't like, but otherwise I remembered what they looked like and the streets, rather than what the hotel names were..... So........ Please remind me which are GOOD hotels and which are the BAD ones to stay away from....... My memory is not serving me well today.......

    Tudor - good

    Clevelander - horrible

    San Juan - horrible

    Clifton - ehh ok, but nothing great....

    Vic - ooooooh, I forgot about Howells. Thanx for the reminder :D I haven't seen him in over a year so this is PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Now it's just a matter of dragging people out LOL.. I love Emerson too but haven't heard him in a long time..

    Nah, no parties for me here. I wouldn't know where to go and just don't have any energy for it.... I told ya, I'm old, I'm in bed by 11 or otherwise yawning my face off LOL.. Of course Avalon in January will be a HUGE exception :) And maybe 1 or 2 parties before that..

    Oh btw, anything good going on Thanxgiving weekend in NY? I'll be there for 4 days so I'm starting to look at what's happening..... Our dear friend Chris is probably gonna come out with me LOL.. I'll keep him away from you :D

    I'm having a philly chease steak!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, loving life right now...... 1st time in 1.5 years that I'm able to eat it... I could cry I'm so happy :D

    (I only ate 1/2 coz it's huge, so the other 1/2 is still here on my desk waiting for me LOL).
