This discussion reminds me of the boobs issue. Girls with big boobs always get asked if they are real or not and presumed to have had implants. Why worry about all this though? If you like your body the way it is, more power to you. Why would you care if people think you're on steroids or not? Just smack them hard upside the head and keep on dancing

If you graduated from college, you should NOT be answering phones for 20k no matter what! Unless you're just absolutely PASSIONATE about answering phones Communications is a pretty large field so I'm sure you'll find something soon. Just don't get discouraged and settle for something that you think is not the best for you. Sure, easier said than done, but hey, you're young, smart (NYU ), so someone is bound to notice that. I will have to agree with misskitty. As much as past experiences might hurt, I too use them as a learning experience. It's not fair to let the past experiences ruin a chance at a good relationship. And it's not fair that this new person has to suffer from what other people have done to you. Just be optimistic and VERY patient Sooner or later someone will enter your life and then you will definitely forget all the pain from your past and move on. (lets just hope it's rather sooner than later).
