wow is this an ignorrant comment....
...try alchemy on a friday I play alot of brand new tribal and electro and people definitely get there dance on .. of course I mix in some hip hop because it is CT and we have basically no drugs in our clubs ..i've been to alchemy a number of times.....in fact, i used to be quite a regular. all i ever heard there was trainwrecked "bubblegum," as u put it. people dont need drugs to dance...u just have to play the right tracks...sure it has to be more mainstream than in the city...u cater to a college crowd, what do u expect??? stop hammering peoples ears with ur noise...u can push the scene forward...so try not to send it back...

I have designed a number of consoles, from bedroom booths to more extensive setups like the one in your picture - so feel free to pm me with any questions or let me know if you're looking for a full design. I am currently working on my Masters in Architecture at NJIT so I think I'm somewhat close to you anyway. I can also send you some images of previous designs I have done to give you some ideas. i miss eightball too....sometimes satellite isnt that bad but then again i havent been buying as much tribal lately anyway....as for decadance......its mad small and everything is really expensive.....i thinks imports r up to 13.99 there......CRAZYYYYY.....but i always find a couple things i like there.....its def worth a try....good luck

got the 3000 around xmas and bought the knobs.......theyre too loose and im starting to have probs with them cutting out already.......but i like the mixer itself

i spun 3rd floor there on thanksgiving eve....friends of mine spun the second.......same deal with the tables...nothing worked......and i had like 2 cds with me......the cd player upstairs is the silver pioneer..i forget what model number but i only had one table that worked......second floor only had correct pitch on one table....an overall disaster.....go early!!! and bring cds!!!!

soo much drama on this board.....i started out mixing cds then went to vinyl.....now i buy my music......i like mixing records better than cds.....its my opinion.....just as it "some big dj's" opinion to use cds......sure it seems more respectable when djs spin vinyl, but if u closed ur eyes would u be able to tell the diff??? prob not....and if u could, u would have some pretty good ears......

i just got the str8-100's over christmas break and they're pretty sick and i think they we're only 250 a piece new......check them out.....i think they are the same as the 80's only they have the super-high torque motor......anyway....check them out...i have no complaints...

hey guys...
i have some equipment i'm selling...unfortunately, i just dont have the time to do this anymore...so pm me if ur interested in any of this...btw...none of the equipment ever made it out of the bedroom....as u will see...
(2) stanton str-100 turntables
(1) denon 2600f dual cd player
(1) pioneer djm-3000 (with a new set of faders)
(1) pioneer efx-500
(1) sony mdr-v700 headphones
(2) ortofon nightclub concorde needles
(350+ house records - mostly ny hard/funky/tribal/electro from 2002-present)
(a ton of full length remixes on cd-alphabetically organized)
(3) lp cases - 2 silver odyssey and 1 black triple five soul
---now, heres the thing.....all this equipment is in connecticut so obviously pick-up would be the best.....i built a custom console for everything...its a dream setup as u can see.....if someone wants to take all the equipment and they can come pick up the console....they can have the console for free...and its constructed very nicely (im an architect). the tables are suspended on plates by rubber bands so they rock a little just like in the clubs. every other piece of equipment has its own specific place...the whole thing measures about 5ft wide by 3ft deep. i really hope someone will be able to enjoy this as much as i did. thanks guys...
