  4. WASHINGTON POST Aug. 27, 2003 - WASHINGTON D.C. (REUTERS)

Early this morning a devastating fire burned down the personal library of President George W. Bush.

Tragically, both books were lost in the conflagration. More poignantly, the President, due to his hectic schedule, had not found time to color in the second one.

I'm a member of the Liberal Democrat Youth and Students - www.ldys.org - here in the UK, and you can get all the experience you need to understand the political process, I've even got to go overseas and meet politically minded kids from around the world, and some student resistance types from Serbia. Off to New York for a UN conference on friday. slots in nicely with university and getting stoned, drunk, mashed and generally enjoying being 20 and at university.

there are plenty of ways to help in the revolution, after all, the future of the world is ultimately in our own hands. unless some fucker nukes us before we get a chance to change things.

you go to those too? (model UN Conferences? ) who organized it, or who is putting it together? i've been to a few in the west coast (california, vegas) and one 4 years ago in nyc, maybe you are in the same program i was...
  6. is anyone doing anything special for this day? quite honestly, not to sound cold hearted or anything, but i think this day should be used as an evaluation of sorts as to how and why this tragedy occured. understanding the roots of the problem that caused so much heartache and problems on this day would help people see more clearly just why we have so much of a problem with terrorists wanting to bring this state down. just my opinion.

i'm not poor and i still don't see the point of spending so much money for food. but that's just me.
  8. sorry to hear that...

yeah, most ppl. knew that this was gonna happen anyway...what can anybody do now, they've got what they wanted...i also heard that they deliberately destroyed all of iraq's telecommunications networks and then handed WORLDCOM, which was on the verge of bankruptcy, the entire contract to rebuild it

if this is true, that's really sad.....but not surprising.

    where did you hear/read this?
