The story may sound vaguely familiar – “with few label options for a young DJ/producer he releases a bootleg album. The album draws rave reviews in magazines and on websites all over the world, becoming an instant underground classic.†No this isn’t the story of Danger Mouse, this is the story of Morgan Page – who, in 2006, released a compilation comprised of bootleg remixes of the likes of Coldplay, Imogen Heap, and Davie Bowie aptly titled, Cease and Desist.

What followed instead was not cease and desist letters but a slew of legitimate remix work by numerous major labels and a record deal from Nettwerk Music Group. Not a bad turn of events for a guy who produced his first track at age 14 while growing up in a log cabin in Vermont.

Fast-forward to the present and we find Morgan Page quickly becoming one the most sought after Remix Producers. His remixes for marquee artists (Angie Stone, Delerium, Stevie Nicks, Nelly Furtado and more) consistently land at the top of the Billboard Club Play charts, including three number one hits in 2006 alone.

And now, if his current release Elevate, and his current single, The Longest Road, are any indication, Morgan Page seems well on his way to mastering the craft of creating original club hits. After its release, The Longest Road, quickly shot up the Billboard Club charts and found its place in the Top 5 alongside Madonna and Snoop Dogg. As a top seller on iTunes’ Dance chart and after spending 3 weeks as the #1 seller on Beatport’s Progressive chart, the song was quickly sought out for inclusion on a number of renowned compilations including Ministry of Sound: Sessions and Godskitchen’s Global Gathering series.

Main Room: Cocoon with Sven Vath, Tiefschwarz, Loco Dice and James Holden

Terrace: Balance CD Series with Desyn Masiello, Paolo Mojo and Chris Fortier

Cocoon Presents Sven Vath, Tiefschwarz, Loco Dice and James Holden!

German DJ/musician Sven Vath is truly one of the driving forces behind modern electronic music. Sven Vath’s DJ career began at the tender age of 18 and has gained international status playing venues from Ibiza to Paris to Germany. His name is inseparable from the German club scene, being one of the pioneers in techno with his landmark albums “Accident in Paradiseâ€, “The Harlekinâ€, “The Robotâ€, as well as “The Ballet Dancerâ€. His label, Harthouse, is responsible for unleashing many highly creative artists, including SpiceLab, Hardfloor, and Speedy J. As a DJ, his legendary marathon sets have received acclaim around the world. In addition, Vath creates his own innovative music. Tiefschwarz was formed in 1996 by two brothers – Ali and Basti Schwarz – who have been successful DJs for over a decade. Peter Hoff, who runs the Benztown studios in Stuttgart, completes the Tiefschwarz production team. Ali and Basti came up with the name for their project after a DJ gig. Tiefschwarz, which is German for 'deep black', is a mixture of their last name, Schwarz, and their love for deep house. Tiefschwarz have remixed around 30 tracks for artists such as Ultra Naté, Byron Stingily, Jam & Spoon, Jennifer Paige, Randy Crawford, Master At Work, Earth Wind and Fire, Shakatak, Mousse T., AWA band, Whirlpool prod., Sabrina Johnson and Sharon Philips. Tunisian born, German based DJ Loco Dice spins very sexy and crowd pleasing house music. His tribal funky, baseline driven sets have landed him gigs at the best clubs in Ibiza, Europe, South America and in the US. James Holden has established himself as one of the pillars of the dance music community, having an impact of which many an older producer and DJ can but dream. The demand for James as a DJ has grown, with the knowledge that his DJing skills are equal to his production. He continues to develop touring Europe and the UK regularly.

On the Terrace, don’t miss the Balance CD Series Event with Desyn Masiello, Paolo Mojo and Chris Fortier.

crobar Presents Magic Sessions with Little Louie Vega and Tony Humphries!

Native New Yorker, DJ Little Louie Vega, began his illustrious career playing at some of the city’s most legendary venues such as the Devil’s Nest, Hearthrob and 1018. His popularity rapidly grew, as his parties would soon constantly draw over four thousand euphoric club goers! While he is mainly noted playing excellent sets, he also attained the same level of success in his remixing ventures. His production skills are also considered flawless as he collaborated with Latin singer Marc Anthony to produce the international dance hit “Ride on the Rhythmâ€. All of these vast achievements cement Little Louie Vega’s status as New York’s premier deep house DJ. Joining Vega is Tony Humphries. Humphries has awed dance music fans across the globe with his "Hump-in-the-Homefries" brand of soulful house. He landed his first DJ gig at New York’s exclusive “Club El Morocco†in 1975. However, he soon moved to “Club Tribeca NYâ€, where he gained great fame. He soon began to develop his creativity by producing and remixing songs with prominent artists such as Donna Summer, Karen White, Queen Latifah and the Jungle Brothers. In the early 90s, his eminence achieved international level and began thriving residencies at the “Ministry of Sound†in London, England and “Echoes†in Rimini, Italy.
