I second Bridgeview Saturday's. The sound system is garbage, but then again it's mostly used for wedding receptions. It's a good alternative to driving out to the Hamptons. Lot's of space.......

The highway is still quicker. With the time it takes to load cars... travel across the sound.. unload cars and get to the highway in CT.. driving is easier...

There is nothing within walking distance from the N. Haven train station.. you will have to cab it to where ever you are going. Van Dome... nope. Try Gothem or the Neat lounge.. only two places even worth going to period.

I have to agree with the above. Hartford at one point might have been going in the right direction with Velvet. Even now with places like Vado and Blu in Hartford.. it's still a ghost town and this is our Capitol? I used to live in Stamford and frequented Premeire ( now Mor) on Friday nights. For a small club.. it's the best CT has to offer for nightlife and music. Be lucky you do not live anywhere near the mass line as I do. Nightlife is non-existing so I make my monthly run to the city to hang with friends.

Agreeable... I went a couple of weeks ago when Sheldon Romero was there. Music was good, but forget about getting drinks. Overpriced (9.00) and no alcohol in them. Never had a problem using the bathroom though.........

I forgot about the o2 bar at the Hipp. I did it a few times.... fun time!! Cover is 7...

There's nothing big about the Hot Club.. music is better by far is the only benefit. I'm not sure what is better.. Springfield or Hartford. There are two places in Hartford that are good on Friday's though. The Vado lounge and Martini Blue.. worth checking out....

I actually work here in Springfield,MA in the downtown area. It's a shock after living in Stamford prior to moving back up here. Here is what you have here: Friday - Hot Club... the music is ok, but the DJ pretty much has a wide variety of music and it's allot better the the Hippodrome. Drinks are also very cheap. Stick to the right side of the club because the other areas are B.S. As for bars.. they are all with the same area.. Worthington St had a shit load of them. Arte Pasta is a cool lounge with excellent martini's. The Pour House is also a good time. Saturday - Hippodrome is the only place worth going to. Drinks are cheap(stick to the top bar and ask for Breann as she makes strong ones). Music is crap pretty much, but the woman there are sometimes worth going for. Most are either from CT or from the local college's. PM me should you have any questions - Scott

I was just out there for the Superbowl and had a good time despite the fact that I lost one of my close friends and roommate while we were out there. That's a whole seperate story though that I don't want to elaborate on anymore. As for nightlife.. just head to the Gaslamp Quaters in the downtown area. Head to 5th street and you will see all the bars and clubs. There is Hooter's in the downtown area and the girls there are really cool and can give you idea's of all the places to go. We stayed at a friends place in SD and with everything that happened we only managed one night to go out - Sat. night. Have fun.. and make sure you try some Carne Assada....... really good

It's funny that people from Jersey always mention the Yanks,Mets,Giants and Jets like they are a part of N.J. Well.. the meadowlands host the Giants and Jets, but it's still New Yorks team. Ok.. so they have the N.J Devils so what? I will give the Jersey heads the upper hand when it comes to nightlife. Let's face it.... the girls are hotter,music is better and there will always be the Jersey shore in the summer.

If your going to spend that kind of money for a car that is ok to begin with then you migth as well buy something from the Auction like a 5 series BMW. Shit.. you can get a 99' 530i with about 40k on the clock for around 25k. Worth the money and it's anice ride.

Honestly there are really no good places to go in CT with the exception of Stamford. At least there you have a few places that are worth the stretch. Premiere,Lava Lounge and this other place called Grand( I think it's the old Art Bar. Premiere might be your best bet though for your needs.....
