The REAL reason why shock and outrage ensued after Monday Night Football
karch replied to karch's topic in Useless Blabber
Monday night football is not by choice? What about Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders? Which show a loooot more skin and provacative poses then was shown in that little piece in the beginning of the program. -
You guys forgot about Saudi money in Citigroup. IF the conservatives want to cut off all money funding terrorism, I guess Citigroup will be out of business soon.

Greenspan: US Trade Deficits put economy at risk

Thank god Asia, which are our banks, are nice to us. Funny how conservatives have nothing of quality to say in this thread. -

But what time is Desperate Housewives on? 9pm, same time Monday Night Football is on in the east coast. So try again. -
Did I say the insurgents are good people? Tell me where I said in this post that they are good people? You judging US soldiers on the same scale as you would judge an insurgent is ludicras. Your trying to say, "It's ok for us to kill children, because terrorists kill children too, but they don't bring them to the hospital" I protested against the war every opportunity I've had. But I find it funny when people want to support the troops, why don't they go fight with them, instead of typing behind a computer encouraging them to put their lives in harms way and kill others.

The left apologizes for religious fanatics. The president fights them.

The religious radical right in this country are equivilant to any religious radicals on the right in other countries. PS. You can stop bending over, I'm done now. -
Too bad they probably didn't kill those guys, but got this kid... Fallujah: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/041111/481/jbm20611110150&e=1&ncid=1479

More like being immature. If what happened is true, Bush needs to grow up.

You got it totally wrong, it's the other way around. It's the christian religious fanatics that helped Bush win the election. And Bush trying to legislate christian religious fanatical beliefs. -
And people that liked the film are supposed to feel sad because of this? lol

Did anyone see this? RE: IQ's of voters for each respective side n state?
karch replied to georgym's topic in Useless Blabber
I just wanted to point out how much of an idiot you are posting that map before. And now your acting all defensive, look at cnn.com, they have maps of each individual state where the counties have either a dark red, light red, white, light blue or dark blue. -

karch replied to georgym's topic in Useless Blabber
I hate those county by county maps. Most of those "red counties" are more like light pink and not dark red. And most of those "blue counties" are in fact dark blue. So get a clue, before you post a stupid map like that. -

That IQ list is most likely true. But the correlation between IQ and democratic voting states is a spurious one. Meaning that the correlation is connected by 1 or more other variables... such as people with higher IQ's general live in more urban areas, and states with highly populated urban areas vote democrat. On another note, it has been proven in a multitued of scientific studies that people that have gained a higher degree of education (such as bachelors degrees, masters, PHDs...etc) are MORE LIKELY to have liberal values and beliefs than people with lower levels of education(HS dropouts). PS. Not that there is anything wrong with people that haven't attained a high level of education, some people are not cut out for school and have other talents. -
I know 2nd place isn't much but if I would just like for those conservatives stop talking about, "oh George Bush got the most votes in presidential election history, even more then Ronald Raegan". I hope they know that his opponant got the 2nd most votes (even more then the bigot Ronald Raegan)
-
Guess who got the 2nd most votes for President in history. John Kerry.

Honestly I don't see the institutional republicans going for McCain. In fact McCain called the radical religious right, the very same people that are ferverent supporters of Bush, evil in 2000. Also in 2000 when McCain was running against Bush in the primaries, the hard right republicans totally tore him apart and slandered him anyway possible. And Rudy, as I said before he is too far to the left for the conservative south to be comfortable with him.
-
Rudy is a liberal republican. Pro-choice, for gun control and gay rights. In fact Guliani openly supported Mario Cuomo in his re-election bid against Pataki. Bloomberg is also a liberal republican(infact he was a democrat until 2000). A person as conservatve as George Bush Jr. could not ever elected in NYC.

If they get to change the constitution for Arnold, we should be change the constitution for Bill Clinton. Our best against their best. Imagine those debates. And I don't think conservatives would want to change the constitution to let a foreign born person to run for president. Plus Arnold is too liberal for them.
-
You think the backwards south would allow a black president?
-
I hope Hillary runs in 2008. As for republicans, there choices are Jeb Bush, John McCain or Rudy Guliani. I think Rudy Guliani is too liberal for republicans though, he's pro-choice, for gun control and I think for gay marriage(?). For the dems it would have to be Hillary or some prominent democrat in the south.

The scandal the NY Times ought to be investigating.
karch replied to igloo's topic in Useless Blabber
Your right they should, because there were many texas oil men that have their hands dirty in the Iraq oil-for-food fraud also.
