  1. I see you've already went and returned, hope you had a blast! For other peoples information though, Rob gave some excellent FACTS about Amsterdam. One more club that I liked was the Mazzo. Its a tiny hole in the wall but the night called "bullet proof" is a solid night of Drum n Bass and Jungle which is very hard to find in the trance loving continent of Europe! Also in Amsterdam they plan the best parties in the beginning of the month and then they get progressively worse towards the end of the Month. Oh and if your a tourist don't show up with a pack of all guys or they'll hassle you at the door. Confidence and a tip goes a long way to get a traveler into the scene though, so don't give up!
  2. I went too! got in Friday afternoon at about 2pm. First of all it was a back up location that completely sucked. We were in a field with none of the ammenities that were advertised on the website (no showers, private flushing toilets, etc) The backup location was almost 4 hours north of the buffalo/niagra border instead of 30 minutes as advertised. They didn't even give out directions to the location until 1 day after the show started! They gave partial directions to a map point where you got a map to the site with 4 different routes and a warning that the cops had already blocked 1 route and set up barracades by the others where they questioned you and lied saying that the show had been cancelled. They did this because of some clause in the permit that said if not enough people show up as minimally specified, the show gets cancelled. They made you pay alot to park in a parking lot that was about 1.5 MILES from the entrance and you had to carry your stuff by hand! Every time you left and came back in you'd wait on a long line and get researched unless you were persistently an ass. If you looked wasted, they'd refuse to let you in and made the cops take you to the hospital. But the people weren't in danger, they just wanted to make us look bad and have a reason to cancel the show. They tried to shut the show down on Friday night, killing the music from 9pm until 12am and refusing any entry or exit for atleast this long. Some people waited on line for 6-8 hours to get in on Friday night! Almost all of the international talent DIDN'T show because DESTINY productions was relying on Anabolic Frolic to spot them the cash to fly in some great UK talent. When the whole legal issues began with towns protesting, 2 location changes, Fridays attempt to stop the show, etc. he refused to spot them the money and non of those DJ's came. No UK jungle massive, No Skibadee, f-ing sucks man! The website says that there was actually 9-11,000 people at this 2001 WEMF not 50,000 as previously mentioned. On a more positive note, Anabolic Frolic did kick ass in the Happy Hardcore tent. He is a local hero in Canada and seen as the Founding Father of Happy Hardcore. Everybody should check out a great live set he did that I got from Tripledecks.com Its called UK vs Canada and has both Anabolic Frolic and Vinyl Groover (big UK hhcore DJ) excellent set, much better than any of the "happy 2b hardcore" cd's "The mainstage was also unreal Comander Tom, Chris Liberator, and john 00 fleming were off the hook." No doubt! My tent was about 100 feet straight back from the center of the main stage (trance stage) Had a large 13x13 3 room tent and a 12x12 screen porch! Our next door neighbors brought an inflatable kiddie pool and filled it with water by filling an empty cooler with water (5 minute walk + a line) repeatedly! Unlike Woodstock, the food vendors were REALLY cool and didn't exploit there customers at this 3 day music festival. I went to WEMF 2000 also and it was much better, however I believe that if WEMF 2001 had gone off as planned then it would have been the best to date. The reality of the matter is that it didn't so people got screwed on all ends but were able to still enjoy the music and crowd. Even when they tried to shut us down, we remained peaceful and confident. When that music came on at 12am Friday night, about 5-7,000 people emerged from there tents at once with so much desire to throw down at a party that it made ALL the bullshit worth it! D
  3. gamecube is good for the reason already stated....great games like the new metroid. xbox is much more powerful (pentium 3 733mhz processor!) There is more of a future for the xbox than the gamecube. Also as stated, the xbox has a dvd player. Always been a nintendo fan, bought all of there systems so far but gonna pass on the gamecube
  4. vegas is the best.....didn't care for tweekend
  5. I agree with all of your points......except the music! Sorry to be a downer but I saw the Chemical Brothers at Woodstock 99 and they were by far my favorite act of the entire three day weekend. So naturally I gather a good sized group of friends/acquaintances for another opportunity to see them. It was our first time at Centro-Fly and we all enjoyed the club very much. The bartenders, waitress in the black/white room, and general vibe of the crowd was incredible! But I must say that the music was incredibly weak. Maybe its because we are mainly into jungle now, but those were some really watered down beats to match the really watered down dancing. Maybe its because we are mainly into jungle now and I know space was at a premium, but those were some really watered down beats to match the really watered down dancing going on. Take away the fact that it was crowded, that people were dancing on tables, the fact that it was the Chemical Brothers, and your left with nice people enjoying house music........not bad, but definately not what I was expecting. ESPECIALLY for $30 considering that Centro-Fly is $10 to get in any other night on the guest list. Three people out of our group of 8 left 30 minutes into the Brothers set and the rest of us left just before 4:00am. Did it really pick up after that? D

  12. "Me and my friends called blunts "Els" because we used to roll them with El Productos." EXACTLY! D
  13. just found out that the promoters are keeping all tickets for this event in NYC. So ticketweb is the way to go if anyone can't get to NYC in advance. Thanks for all the help people. "good" men speak no truth, they merely obey and repeat others Nietszche
  14. personally I feel that it all depends on the RESULTS. I am a fan a large natural breasts (even if they sag a bit Most doctors leave scars around the woman's nipple or underneath the breast and it just kills the attraction. Others put large implants into small chested women making the breasts look tight. The worst is when after a doctor has hacked up a poor woman and her breasts come out near her armpits pointing outward! The best boob job is one that doesn't look like one so I guess that really says it all in my opinion. D
  15. dstgeorge2 YOU RULE Outerlimits is about 20 minutes from me and i've been to sonic before...Great Place Thanks for the heads up!!! d Hope to see you all at Holiday Bass Aphrodite & Mickey Finn URBAN TAKEOVER!!!!
