thanks for everyone's help, but I don't think any of those are it...
one thing I forgot, though, I think the song had a beat like Lil Louis - French Kiss, if that helps any (hopefully I'm not confusing it with something else)

yup, D-Fuse is from Texas, and he used to have a weekly thing at a club here in Austin (though I think that club recently closed, not sure). Yes, he opened for Oakenfold, but his style is totally different, not cheesy at all when I heard him spin.

Wouldn't playing in Texas have drawn a much bigger (albeit southern) crowd?! We definitely could've cooked up a rave for him, or something!

Yeah, my cousins have that game on Playstation, plus they have 2 of those dancing pads. You don't really dance, you just hop and jump to the beat (and that's the only way you can really keep up with the beat). My cuz is only 13 but whoops my ass at it... its funny, he looks like a little raver in training. I know I look ridiculous at it, but I'm usually laughing too hard to notice.
Personally, I like Bust A Groove better (Japanese version)

try hamachi, otherwise known as yellowtail... its my favorite kind of raw fish, it melts in your mouth (even better is sashimi, without the rice).
wash it down with a bowl of miso!
