  1. NYE in DC

Acid Rain and Liquid Prophecy are at it again.... this New Year's Eve, along with our friends from D-Tribe, Instinctive Grooves, Liquid Lounge, and the Syndicate, we'll bring you..... Decadence 2k1 December 31, 2001 @ the EDGE nightclub Washington, DC With the New Year upon us, it's a time to share with friends and family. This year we celebrate with the Capital City's finest talent with a production that will amaze you through the next millennium. In addition to all of your local favorite DJ's, new and old, we'll have plenty of extra goodies. For starters, The Syndicate will be setting up shop in an enclosed, heated tent complete with booming sound, intelligent lighting, and that close house party vibe only the Syndicate can bring. Throughout the Edge, Cyber-Quest will be working with P.A.W.N. lasers and Negative Space to provide a fully interactive full color laser/projection/decor show. They are promising to set up an environment that strains the limits of reality as well as a special midnight celebration, complete with a FREE champagne toast for those over 21. Arrive early to ensure you'll be inside when the clock strikes 12:00, and for those over 21 years old, take advantage of $5 Red Bull & Vodkas before 11:00!!!! ON THE DECKS: Baggadonuts (Donut Records / DC) One of the original pioneers of the DC scene, Baggadonuts was a regular at the old school Fever and Buzz parties. Lately he has been focusing on his own label, Donut Records. Last year he made a cameo in "Groove: The movie" and even had three featured tunes on the official movie soundtrack. East Coast Boogiemen (Tequila Records, Splend!d, Planet Groove / DC) This tag team duo has grown to national acclaim in 2000 and they're coming back to celebrate the New Year at home in DC. Known for their funky-latin-sometimes-disco- tripped-out house, The Boogiemen promise to rock DC in a special midnight set. J-Smooth (GFS, Planet Groove / Philly) Known all over the country for his wicked stylings on the decks and ability to seamlessly mesh drum and bass with hip hop, J-Smooth is undoubtedly one of America's finest young DJ talents. This Philly sensation will be making the dance floor surge in the Warehouse Room as the clock strikes midnight, so don't miss this special celebration!
