I have to agree with bnegs...if your looking for a larger venue shampoo would be the place on a thursday...they finally have something decent going there, and with danny howells (october) and max graham this month...there is a good dose of talent injected...Friday nights or anynight...old city is a good place to go to and just chill check out some of the lounges..moda/proto/maramount/soma/ then the is life and envy in that area if you want bit more of a crowd....then usually late night evo's or tribecca are nice spots till 330...Basically in philly your best bet for good clubbin is to check and see what club is having a special event that week or a 6am party...that venue is usually worth checking out...whatever it may be...

i agree about philly talent...but please leave rob lee off that list...he may have been legendary 5 yrs ago...now he is just tired...

I'll be down for my first WMC and my third miami visit. My question is to all those inthe know...how far in advance would you recommend booking hotel rooms?...we are thinking end of dec beg of jan. Is that too late? Also are tix for the events that week sold at the door or can the be purchased in advance....

motion is good from what i hear...but it caters to the under 21 crowd....they have some decent talent there, but 18yrolds with pacifers isnt my bag. I havent been there but from what i hear the sound is great and the layout is key

As someone who frequents philly clubs...I'd say your bests are as follows: weds nite...fluid..hands down best nite in the city thursday...shampoo..matty kling can rip it up fridays...evolution...mike myers is an excellent trance dj and they have special guests on occasion...or life...nice lounge atmosphere and good vibe inthe main room saturdays...shampoo Thing with philly is there is always something good going on...you just have to know where...it isnt like NYC where you can go anywhere and have a decent night....whoever is having the best party or big event in philly will be the place to be...for example a few weeks ago shampoo had their "pink" party...great party...the next week.....weak...no one there at all....everyone was at evolutions aniuv. party....what weekend or night are you going...i'll try to give you a heads up.....No one is saying philly is NYC...but a good time can be had for sure.
