  1. Positives 1. Small scene for those who are in it for the music. Not too overcrowded. 2. Great support for local talent. 3. Friendly people. Negatives 1. Not much of a focus on music in many of the clubs. 2. Too many glam clubs. 3. No decent venue for big names. 4. 4am closing time. 5. Lack of selection of outside talent on friday/saturday. Many DJs frequent Austin or Toronto more than Chicago. 6. Too much Techno / Old School House - Not many fresh ideas or new DJs. 7. Very small scene - not that many people really into it, or at least the music.
  2. Mostly Italian, with some Irish and German, although I have a misspelled Austrian last name. Somehow, most people think i'm Israeli at first glance... [This message has been edited by beroshima (edited 06-11-2001).]
  3. AGAIN! Hispanic may be a blanket term, but it affect reality. All 'hispanics' reap the benefits of affirmative action, corporate hiring policies, college entries, etc!!!! Read my eariler reply!
  4. I'm in 100% agreement with you here. I think the whole word is dated. Being mainly Italian and German, i'd be ethnicaly the same as many 'hispanics' from places like Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay... With more and more peeps from Central and S. America coming to the US every day, i'd just figure they'd just drop it. Don't get me started on how people ethnically identical to myself get affirmative action and leave me in the dust... Just my 10 cents worth...
  5. Why would you do that? You do have Sonique and DJ Dimitri from Dee-Lite... 6. You're got to ask yourself the question: Is it that you're unconfortable in heels around him, or is it that you're not that physically attracted to him? I've found that while most of you ladies aren't that superficial, height is the #1 consideration when it comes down to the physical side of things. Nothing's wrong with that, but if it is, be true to yourself about it... [This message has been edited by beroshima (edited 05-25-2001).]

    help.

No, f**k the lies. Be honest and tell him that you don't have feelings for him any more. If you care for him, don't you want him to at least learn from this experience? Yes, he'll be hurt, but in the long run, you'll actually be helping him... [This message has been edited by beroshima (edited 05-20-2001).]
  8. The market is very tight right now for graphic designers, especially with a lot of the dot.coms folding. I have a lot of friends who are designers also, and many of them are changing careers it's so bad. The advice i'd say is to use your connections as much as you can - the competition is fierce for everything out there...
  9. Avoid the Drink or Circus. Neither of them have quality music and are full of tourist and suburban types. [This message has been edited by beroshima (edited 05-14-2001).]
  10. #3 Claire Forlani... mmm... btw, there's probably better pics of her out there... Ali Landri never did it for me. She looks too all-american, plain and boring.
