1. Sounds like we have a trip to plan. I also have a place we may be able to crash in NYC. I say we wait until after this rainy season crap is over so we can actually see the city during the day and not get soaked. maybe July or something. ------------------
2. B2B, shmoozin the bouncers, hey whatever it takes right? I don't know how you could stand to be on that dancefloor for that long? You must have been dying. So what's going on this weekend? Besides Crobar, hype night on saturday. ------------------
3. Like I said above, stay away from Circus, if you like progressive you'll like Rive Gauche. Kim, you won't even go to Circus, it's lame as hell now. Zentra is even a good place as long as you hang upstairs, there is always plenty of room to dance up there, and it's always free to get in, guest list only, send an email to Zentranightclub@aol.com and give them the names of all the people in your group and it's free cover all night. Nocturnal can also be pretty good, but it's over priced. Top two recommendations Rive Gauche and Zentra.. ------------------
4. Personally I think that party on the train thing is not going to happen. I mean if they won't let us party on private property what makes everyone think that they are going to let us party on city property, and moving city property at that. And if it does happen I hope everyone plans on going there with a clean slate, that shit is going to be a total bust... ------------------
5. CB, that sounds like a better idea then getting tickets for $100 from my guy that isn't 100% reliable anyway. 139$? that seems like a very reasonable price for round trip right? ------------------
6. Rive Gauche is a defenate if you go on Friday, the staff is awesome and you can put your name on the guest list at www.rivegauchenightclub.com, it's also one of the best club websites I've seen yet. But totally stay away from Circus, rude staff, lame music, lame crowd, the place was happening about a year ago, but it faded, and the drink, two words, HELL and NO... ------------------
7. Damn girl, for your first "real" night out make it somewhere big, go to Crobar. Unless you have somehow been there already. Then I guess RedNoFive will do. ------------------
8. There's a catch, we have to let my friend who get's the tickets know about 2 months in advance to get the discounted rates. He works for United. I think I can get as many as 4 or maybe even 5. ------------------
9. I can get round trip plane tickets to NYC for $100 each through United Express... ------------------
10. Rule of thumb for RedNo, wear short sleeves. That place is sweaty everytime I have been there. B2B- barely saw you that night, where were you? ------------------
11. lucky bastard, I didn't get home until almost 1, and I was at work at 8:30. And I have to be here until about 7pm. So when are we going to hang out again? You should hit Crobar with us Saturday... ------------------
12. or watch for the meetup threads and show up to one. I have met some really cool people at Richie Hawtin, and I am sure we are all going to get together soon. Think about it, or like Tommy said, head up to Crobar and you will meet a bunch of people from this board, especially this saturday.. I know Der, kimberlyco, wombat, bmitch are all going to be there.. ------------------
13. yeah, defenately no holiday for the next meetup, unless it's memorial day or something where you don't have to be around anyone important the next day. How was the show after we left? I couldn't take the damn heat of that place anymore. They needed to open a damn window or something. ------------------
14. birdj, are you trying to be a smart ass? It was cool meeting you, we will all defenately do it again. ------------------
15. You were at U2 last night? Kim and I were there too. What did you think? Awesome concert wasn't it... the only downside was the gridlock on the way out... ------------------
16. Wombat, B2B, bmitch, tranceaction, citybartender, it was awesome meeting all of you, defenately will be a repeat in the near future. citybartender, my buddy said that HOB for Dave Ralph can be done as long as it isn't sold out. So we all might want to buy tickets just in case. Even if it is sold out the VIP Balcony can probably still be done. Bmitch. 9am??? damn man, what did you do? ------------------
17. Just got retagged by Kimco, so I changed it. I was getting really sick of p-poppin. I'm going to get to put a face to the name saturday right? You are coming to the meetup. ------------------
18. Armand Van Helden "U Don't know me" DJ Balloon "Pussy Lover" ATB "Fields of Love" Don't know the artist "Pitchin' in Every Direction" Delerium "Silence" (Tiesto remix of course" ------------------
19. let's not forget the airconditioning either, that's probably the best in the biz. Did anyone know that Rive Gauche is expanding? They haven't said how yet... maybe a second club, or to a larger location?? I guess we can all wait and see. Obviously that place has some ideas on what to do to make the club successful. ------------------
