  1. Hey I saw Dave Ralph at Avalon in Boston last night. Anyone who may have been there, or has seen him recently, can you help me out with 2 ID's? One is a track that I'm sure is pretty old, but I just don't know the name. It's got a male vocal singing "We're here to stay" over and over, plus some other words I couldn't make out. Then he played this track (his last of the night in Boston...) with breaks instead of 4 to the floor, lots of swooshes, and a biiiig breakdown. Probably can't help unless you've seen him lately, because I know that isn't the best description ever... Anyway, thanks for any help.
  2. Can anyone who was at Avalon last help me out with some song ID's? I'm posting in the Music board too, but I figure that some people round here would have been there and can help me out ... Anyway, I'm looking for the last few songs he played. One was a male vocal saying "we're here to stay" a lot, plus some other words. Now I know that I know this song, I've hearrd it a bunch, but what's the artist and name? And then what was the last song he played right after that one? It was breaks, with a big breakdown in there, i think... That was pretty ill. Thanks!
  3. i checked out a track listing of dark drums 2 on amazon.com, and i think this is what you are talking about. 12. I'll be your friend + Foremost Poets: Moonraker Accapella - Robert Owens I think Moonraker is the song with that vocal part. I'll have to find that cd and see if it is the same beat. Anyway, thanks for the replies! Any one know what the very last song he played was?
  4. thanks for the replies, i'll check those tracks out. yeah dave ralph was in boston. I thought he played a good set, but i only heard about the last hour or so, because i spent the beginning of the night checking out Freaky Flow in Axis (a club connected to the one Dave Ralph was in). Anyway, thanks again, hopefully one of those will be the track i'm looking for.
  5. If you were there, can anyone help me out with ID's for the last 2 songs he played? The second to last had a voice saying "Do not be alarmed, this is only a test." The last song was a vocal track that i'm sure i know (so it's probably a well-known track), but now i can't remember how the vocals went. I posted in the Music forum, too, but i figure people in here might have been there and heard the tracks, you know? Thanks for any help.
  6. Can anyone ID this song? Heard Dave Ralph play it, its pretty much prog house, with a voice saying words like, "Do not be alarmed, the man in the DJ booth is in control..." and the like, then all the music stops and the voice says "This is only a test." This song blew me up last night, someone help! What is it?
  7. hey, i'm planning on trying to learn how to spin. i wanted to ask the djs on the board about hardware. i'm looking to buy a package that includes turntables, mixer, etc. i am looking at a gemini package. in general, how are their products? keep in mind that i am absolutely just beginning, and that i can't afford top of the line equipment right now... thanks for any feedback, suggestions, or helpful comments. ------------------ We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment We are choosing to stay here, right now, hold on, stay inside This body, holding me, reminding me that I am not alone... 8. hey thanks for the info, i'm lokoing forward to that. i really enjoyed the movie. it is basically an action flick that revolves around car chases, so don't expect much plot. but it was a fun movie, and the music that bt wrote is awsome. thanks again! ------------------ We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment We are choosing to stay here, right now, hold on, stay inside This body, holding me, reminding me that I am not alone... 9. hey i'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the music from this movie. i know the soundtrack that is sold is stores is all rap, but in the credits, it says, "music by BT" there are some really cool beats in the movie, i was wondering if anyone knows if they will release another cd, or if you have any song ids from it? thanks!
  10. this might be an old song, i really don't know. i heard timo maas play it about the end of last year. there is this hard bass, and then a break where a man's voice says, "can you give me space inside your beating (or bleeding?) heart" anyone know this song? i heard it on a tape of the set he did at axis in boston awhile ago, but the tape cuts off before the song is over... please help! thanks! ------------------ We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment We are choosing to stay here, right now, hold on, stay inside This body, holding me, reminding me that I am not alone...
