Actually, I believe it was Apollonia that was in Purple Rain...she was really pretty in that film... I liked The Man With Two Brains w/ Steve Martin...

PHEW! okay...now i don't feel so bad about turning 30 anymore...

tiramisu is my number one fave dessert...cannoli is number two...i sure wish i was on the east coast right now...they don't make that stuff right down here...and the cheesecake factory here in houston has a friggin' 1-2 hr. wait....wtf?!?!?!?! don't get me wrong, though...we have some really awesome restaurants down here...that may be why houston was picked to be the fattest city in the USA for the second year in a row...not exactly something to be proud of...(sigh)

i'm still trying to figure out what i want to be when i grow up...thought i knew, but...oh, well...just going through a phase, i guess... but 30 really isn't as bad as i thought it would be...back when i was 18 i thought 30 was ancient!

my fave gift was a silver crucifix on a chain from my husband... but my fave gift to give was that we got to tell my in-laws that we're sending them on a cruise to alaska next summer (they'll also be celebrating their 40th wedding anniv.) i also got some dvds and some giftcards to dept. stores so i can buy stuff for the house... i think i'm an older fart than ragga...

i used to do that...if you sleep on your side it helps align your spine better so you don't get back pain...so i would get a better night's sleep if i had a pillow between my legs, too...or maybe something else... (did i just say that?)

growing up, my folks spoke english to me at home, but w/ a filipino accent. it's funny, but i speak english w/ an americanized accent on a normal basis (whatever that means), but as soon as i visit my parents and set foot into the house, i start speaking english w/ a HEAVY filipino accent, then it goes away when i leave again - go figure i also grew up in a black neighborhood, so sometimes the sistah in me comes out - LOL oh, yeah...and down here we say ya'll...

i have to agree...lots of commercialism surrounding the holidays... but yes, i would tell my kids there is a santa...

i need sleep to function each day...at least 6-7 hours...don't wanna kill off any of my patients at work, ya know? also, sleep is a way for your body to rest and re-energize itself to get it ready for whatever it is you need to do the next day...

trust me - u are NOT scary... i think ur a cutie, personally... hehehe
