Does anyone know if Limelight will be good tonight? Or is it tourists and old people night? My sister is only 19 so I want to be able to go somewhere she'd get in..any suggestions??

Hey Gmcooky, asylum is pretty cool..I mean it's worth definitely checking out if you like to dance..Otherwise there's not much room for lounging around..it's pretty crowded, with a 21+ crowd and the music ranges from hip hop to house to 80s...basically anything..hope that helps

Hey everyone, I know this may not be the best site for asking this but is anyone going bar hopping this New Years? If so where? I'm probably going to be with a bunch of people and it makes no sense for each of us to spend $100+ on a club when some people may end up unhappy and we can't leave...well you get the idea..Last year we went to the village and spent most of the night @ Asylum on bleeker but I wanted to try something else..any suggestions? No quiet loungy places please. The crazier and louder the better..ok thanks!

Hi guys, my friend is turning 22 soon (next week) and she's thinking of going to one51 but i heard a lot of mixed reviews..Unfortunately none of my friends have even been there..whats your advice? You should know that we don't like loungy/upscale/snotty places.. The usual friday or saturday night would be a club like Soundfactory, or Webster Hall or any bar that's packed and has dancing..Also does one51 have a good crowd or is it the kind of dead place where you can do cartwheels on the dancefloor? The reason I ask is b/c Ohm was supposed to be good and when I went there were 10 people there..Ok i said enough...let me know what you think!

yeah this weekend i couldn't see myself going out and partying..It just felt too wierd..But I agree that we should go on with our lives as soon as we feel comfortable..

Yeah, the bars in the village are definitely the best in they city..(well i think so)..I like to go to Peculier Pub, Bar None or Asylum..Bar None and Asylum both have dancing which is a must cuz I'm not one to have fun just sitting around and drinking all night..well there are plenty of places in that area so you're bound to get in somewhere..good luck!

Hey I just heard that Limelight was sold to some guy named John something..I heard it on the news so I would think its true and not another rumor. Does anyone know what's going to become of it now? I heard once that they were thinking of making it a club/restaurant like Ohm. I certainly hope not..I hate when one place tries to be so many things at once..and the last thing NYC needs is another cheesy place like ohm (which sucks by the way).

Does anyone know what kind of event Limelight is having this Saturday? Limelight can be completely different from one night to another so i was just wondering if anyone knew of the kind of music that will be played, how big of an event it is, etc. thanks!

My sister's gonna be 19 soon..I'll check out Twirl on a saturday night..If she can't get in cuz of the age thing we'll just go somewhere else..

Ohm sucks! we went there once on a friday night and it was empty...this was around 1-2 so it's not like we were super early or anything..we didn't have to pay (probably cuz it sucks) otherwise I would have demanded my money back..the only people there were old tourists thinking they can get with young girls..It's way tooo hyped up..maybe cuz the interior is nice and the place is big but who cares?
