    ok, i'm ignorant ...

    you're right ...

avalon and the new places all seem to really be lining up local djs with that bridge and tunnel hard house sound ...

it's a sound that was never regarded with anything but distaste by the rest of the world ...

go back through the years on this message board ...

how many posts are there asking "why isn't sound factory in the top 100 world club" poll ...

"why isn't jp on the top 100 dj list?" ...

people from other parts of the world are coming into new york and starting up clubs now ...

    they're implementing decent music ...

    richard grant realizes this ...

so he brings in a world renowned dj like junior ...

and kicks out the god of all guidos ...

    things are changing ...

    for the better ...

  2. these new clubs are all aiming for a much more musically intelligent crowd than the cavepeople that jp and his like attract ... crobar is out of the question ... avalon is out of the question ... spirit doesn't sound like a jp-friendly place at all ...

i forsee exit ditching the saturday night latin theme real soon and hiring you know who ...

if you go to brooklyn through staten island, instead of manhattan, this won't affect you in the least ... the 4-passenger requirement is only for the conduits in and out of manhattan ...

WOW...... 3.5Mil in renovations and thats all you get......anyway with drink prices at

$10 a pop and moet at $150 who can afford to go there

and no promoters working there because DAVID MARVISI says we dont need promoters this is LIMELIGHT oh well good luck to him and all of his clubs EXIT, CAPITALE, SPA, BUTTER.

i was one of those 450 on saturday ... and 450 seems a bit high to me ... there was no line ... there no one inside ... the remodel is beautiful and respectful of the old design .... the lights are vastly improved ... blah blah blah ... i could go on and on but the main problem is the music ... sounded like a radio broadcast from a hoboken club ... i mean really bad ...

    What a Shame

i understand that "the twentieth century is almost over" wuz played in the moments leading up to midnight ... and thatz all fine and good if you were there ... but listening to it on mp3 in the middle of august isn't real exciting ... and i could do without the "do it again" and "quiet" that follow it too ... but everything that follow them is great

If anything to me that is a CLASSY Dj who takes request. Abyss wed night he ended with 6, 8 12. Why? Cause it was requested. BUt you kow what you are talking about..... Why do so many people sweat Shawn Ink, but yet he plays 95% of songs jonathan drops. For every JP CLASSIC dub that this kid might drop there are about 5-10 new tracks that he drops after that. Maybe you need a lesson on what makes a set enjoyable. Or how a Dj keeps his fan base happy. Would you rather go to tempts and hear denny drop shiny disco nutz a few times in one night??? Is that your idea of a great set? ROOOOOOOOOOOKIES!!! This board is filled with so many of them.

rookies may go to tempts and love their shiny disco balls ... the sophmores may worship jp and his clones ... write back when you graduate to junior or senior ...

    women beat their men

    come on lets WORK

those were the late nite tracks, the reason i go to hear jp

couldn't you just save 50 dollars, turn on ktu and hear these songs?

  8. utopia is definitely the "bangingest" one i have attended in vegas ... as for the person who said that what was coming out of it sounded cheesy, i went on a saturday night and not one song i heard struck me as something i'd be likely to hear in exit or roxy on a friday night ... i think it feelz closer to south beach than new york though ... which i consider a good thing ...

the hotel clubz vary by night ... i planned on going to ra one thursday night and found out it was rap so i went over to rumjungle instead and there i got house, but pure cheese house, more webster hall-ish even then webster hall ... darude, destiny's child-remixes, etc. etc. ...

it completely dependz on the night, i suppose ... but utopia seems head and shoulderz above the rest to me ...

  9. the mp3 is labeled october 1st of 2000 ... startz with nation 2000 ... has glorious, quo vadis, a sandstorm remix, thunder in paradise, etc. etc. ... does anybody know what the last song is? ... i'd ask him on his website but this is going way too far back ... thanks in advance for any input, john
