  1. Anyone selling tickets to the Friday show of Thievery Corporation? They're sold out and I need 1 ticket. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks!
  2. i know pete tong's done a lot for the music industry, but i saw him spin twice at last year's WMC at Opium Garden and he was unbelievably disappointing. He'd play really cheesey music and wouldn't even mix it. if he did mix it, he'd only mix it for 15 seconds, tops. i was expecting more. is he always like this?
  3. I've noticed that Roxy's been getting one big name DJ after another...just like when Twilo was open. But I'm wondering, is the crowd now the same as it was before? I know just this past summer most of the kids that go there were bridge and tunnel kids who all looked the same (spikey hair, sleeveless shirt, shades...etc.). Has the crowd become more diverse now, and is there also a dress code these days? By the way, $40 advanced tickets to see these DJs??? Please...
  4. probably not...americans are just too different from europeans. also, the US is so big that it's difficult for electronic music to spread everywhere. and if underground electronic music were to be shown on MTV, it would certainly lose it's underground status. I think i like electronic music to stay relatively underground because it wouldn't be as influenced by money as the pop bands you see on MTV. i like the music pure with no politics.
  5. Sup guys, Just want to let you know that there's a new Wednesday night party at Downtime called Frequency. No big name DJs yet...only local talent and a bunch of guys who are just sick of all the politics involving dance music. We're just there to have a good time and dance to really diverse sets of electronic music. It'll be a lot of trance (older style...not the cheese that's out now), breakbeat, progressive, and house. Cover is $5 18 to enter, 21 to drink no dress code 251 W. 30th St. btw 7th & 8th Ave. It's a really chill atmosphere so I hope you guys come check it out and support the music that you love. Peace
  6. Hey, Anyone out there know of a bunch of dance music sites with streaming video?? I need help...thanks!
  7. Is the club still bring people in on the weekends, or is it already dying?
  8. Anyone go to see Dirty Vegas at Roxy last night? I missed it, so I don't know how it went. Any reviews?

  11. Did that e-card give you links to all those places?
  12. Yo, check this out! A friend of mine works at Ministry of Sound and he gave me the link to this Fatboy Slim E-card for his new CD. It's pretty sick...more record labels should have this for their releases! http://www.soulkool.com/projects/fatboyslim/ecard/index.htm Can't wait till the CD comes out!
  13. ...for one night, where would you go?? I have many places in mind, but I think one would truly be a unique and intense experience... The full moon parties at Koh Phangan, in Thailand!! I will have to make it out there in the next couple years.
