  1. You need to relax tonto!

I have seen some threads get moved for some funny reasons... like no reason. And no, I'm not referring to mine :D

Where can one find the rules and regulations to posting, content, etc.? I'm curious what clubs are getting the slip-on-by and what hard-working, members of this community are being sent KY as their posts are moved?

  2. Disgusting...and you all wonder about the futur of 'EDM' while the copy cat conferences pop up around the country.

    greedy + greedy = Greedy

    [/rant]

And as much as I agree 100% about your post, the fact that there are "copy-cat" events, would actually lead me to believe that things aren't as bad as we think. I know where you work ;) and mean no offense when I say that the best thing that EVER happened to WMC (the company) is the M3 Summit. And let me esplain myself so you get where I'm coming from.

WMC is THEE one, the original, the daddy of the mack, one of the SINGLE MOST important reasosn dance music has flourished internationally. My "complaint" is that the mission, the direction, and especially the branding of WMC has been "tired" and "stale" for a LOOOOOONG time. And if nobody registers... well, look inside for the answers. There is NOTHING worth seeing. Nothing wirthy of paying the money. Even the panels worth seeing, was a bunch of guys sitting behind a couple 8ft banquet tables with cheesy table-cloths and desktop inkjet printer name cards. I think M3's branding was DOPE. It made me go, Hmmmm I need to check that out. Their events were "exciting", interesting, comfortable and VERY well planned and marketed. I think M3 will be (and WMC people please take this and run with it) the reason WMC gets even better. It is hopefully pushing WMC to step it's game up. Survival of the fittest. I hope they both succeed to be honest, but time will tell. And BTW, there IS a music conference in Vegas... and from what reliable sources say, it was pretty damn good. And it will grow.. .and grow every year JUST LIKE WMC did and one day the new-jacks won't know what came first... the chicken or the egg!

And because I am beaing as unbiased as possible... here is a case study... just compare their branding and design...

  5. I love you POD! You ccrack me up!

And btw... just the lengthy post appears that a rise has been gotten! LOL!

Philippio is like that little green guy that plays the nail disease... LOL!

    I miss this place! Philipio... be careful... soon you'll be writing YOUR name like L u S t 4 H o u S e DOT COM

You know, my mom calls me a fucking shithead. And I'm glad you don't "believe" in our forum. And FYI, the mods here aren't EDM geniuses either. I know most of them, and they actually have social lives beyond bugging real DJs for their setlists.

You're gonna have to work a lot harder to get a rise out of me. And by the time you do, I'll be drunk and probably won't care. This fucking shithead actually goes out to clubs to drink.

I may not be an encyclopaedia of tracks and genres, but ya know what? I really don't have a desire to. I'm not a DJ or a record label exec. There's more to life than knowing every sub-genre of dance music. I go out to clubs to make a buck or two, drink, and have fun. There's more to life than knowing what the latest wax out on West End Records is, or what Mel Cheren had for breakfast this morning. Oops, it looks like maybe I do know a thing or two about "EDM". I may not have a Ph. D in the art, but I've audited a few classes. Hanging around places where DJs and dance music producers tend to go (clubs...you know, those places you should be going out to if you really support dance music, rather than yapping like a poodle on a messageboard) has imparted a few nuggets of dance music wisdom to me. Hell, I'm sure if I put my mind to it, I could probably become a pretty proficient DJ and land a solid residency somewhere. And if I did, I would put you on my list, and comp you a bottle.

  6. Really bummed I missed Pete. He's a great guy. We haven't hung out since his Boston days, when nobody knew who he was. LOL

Then he got smart, moved to Phili, started producing solid tracks, and now look at him...

    Go Pete!

LOL! I'm surprised we never crossed paths either Justin! Oh well... we still have Miami! HA!
