  1. I'd personally like to thank each and every person who attended ULTRA 8 at Bicentennial Park in March 2006. We at ULTRA Music Festival strive to bring YOU the electronic music fans the best event every year. In an effort to keep YOU the fans happy and coming back, I'd like to ask you for your help in making the festival even better. Please send me 5 main things that you would like to see implemented or changed with ULTRA 9. Please send all replies to info@festivalcre8or.com As always, thank you for your support and we'll see you March 24, 2007 for the 9th installment of ULTRA Music Festival
  2. Next weekend the second edition of ULTRA NY takes place in Central Park on Friday, September 22, 2006. That gives you time to fly up to NY and check out ULTRA NY, go to Crobar for the after party and then hop on a plane back to South Florida. Check the link for event info and ticket purchase: https://www.ultranewyork.com/ Also check out airfares at JetBlue Airways
  3. I was wondering if you could be a little more specific about the "self analyzing crossovers, special amplifiers and processors." Are all of these going to be built by EV/Dynacord?
  4. 11am at Bicentennial Park. That's the park next to American Airlines Arena between 11th and 10th on Biscayne Blvd
  5. Yeah with the festival moving to Bicentennial Park this year, it gives us alot of breathing room to get more creative for the people who enjoy the event. There will also be alot of surprises at this years event.
  6. I can remember a Crobar gig a few months back that I did some laser work at. Donald Glaude was spinning. His set started out with some of the regular boring South Beach house music and then he started to progress into some harder and techier house music. As I recall the place went nuts everytime he dropped a harder track. This whole thing with Miami and deep house has gone on for years but there are alot of great DJ's that don't spin in Miami because the crowd is isn't very open-minded when it comes to music. Take Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins for example. These guys are killer DJ's yet never get booked in Miami. Why?? Because Miami hasn't been exposed to the type of music that they play. I saw Derrick May play a smoking set in LA 2 years ago and the place was out of control. Maybe it's time that the Miami club scene start to spread it's wings a little. Electronic Dance Music is more than Deep House and Trance.
  7. Well it's been very interesting sitting on the sidelines for the past 3 years watching certain so called "Production Designers and Production Managers" try to recreate some of the work that I've accomplished in past years. Quite honestly I've had enough of the bullshit that's been going on at events during WMC. There seems to be several individuals who just can't seem to create the proper atmosphere to go along with the music. Well guess what. That's all going to change. The last 3 years I've been working on new developments as far as audio. lighting and video goes. 10 new sound systems that no other company is even dreaming about. Lighting and video combinations that will send all of the clubkids into overload. It's time that Miami gets a taste of the future. Stay tuned.
  8. John Creamer will be playing at HOUSE on 22nd and Biscayne, November 13, 2004. HOUSE is a unique nightclub that has several VIP rooms, an outdoor pool and many rooms of different music. Who cares about all the glitz and glam when you have killer music. http://www.whatishq.com
  9. Well just to put it simple, we stayed up 36 hours straight to make sure that the main sound system at Revolution Nightclub was ready for Skinny Puppy. I couldn't stay for the show because I was just dead tired, but the sound check was intense. Skinny Puppy was dropping mad bass Miami style, causing slight tremors in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The opening act, Otto was killer too. His style was kinda of similar to Uberzone. Great production of music and killer bass. Tonight is Jerry Bonham and Sunday is U.N.K.L.E. with James Lavelle. If you're tired of going to clubs where the sound sux, stop by Revolution and get a heavy dose of TMc.
  10. Just wanted to fill you all in on what's going on at Revolution Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale (the old Chili Pepper space). The company that I work for, Pro Sound, is putting in a massive and I mean massive JBL Vertec sound sysem indoors and a JBL Custom Shop SRX system on the outdoor stage. The entire installation will be managed and supervised by myself, THE FESTIVAL CRE8OR. For those who don't know, Revolution Nightclub is THE dedicated under 10,000 person Clear Channel concert venue. They will be booking national concert tours as well as some of the largest DJ's in the industry. The characteristics of the club are virtually the same as it was when it was The Edge accept that it's more open and cleaned up. The second floor catwalk is still in place and a new VIP skybox has been added for a killer view of the stage. The outdoor stage has been totally overhauled. The new stage is 40 feet wide and 30 feet deep. A new 6000 lb capacity roof was fabricated to hold touring lighting and audio systems. The outdoor legal capacity has been rated at 1750 people. We will be starting the audio installation this week and will be pushing to have it done by Oct 29 for the Skinny Puppy show and for the Oct 30 and 31st shows with Jerry Bonham and UNKLE with James Lavalle. If you went to ULTRA 1, 2 and 3, Cyberfest 2000 or Beyond 2002, I think you'll have some idea of what kind of sound system to expect. Revolution Nightclub will be the prototype of what nightclubbing will be in the near future. This will be the first true dual duty club in South Florida equipped with a full concert touring system that can turn into a SUPER DJ system. See you all there Halloween weekend.
  11. Now I know you're entitled to your opinion but for you to call Miami a drug infested city, I have to say something about that. It amazes me how some people think they're so much better than another person just because they live in NYC. Now I'm not saying this about all New Yorkers because I have friends that live and work there. But it's people like you who make stupid statements, that makes some people think that all New Yorkers are snobby. Get a grip.
  12. The Global Passport will be used for all events thrown my Global HTM. When you buy a ticket for any Global HTM event, you either buy a new Global Passport, if you have one already, get it recharged with the new ticket purchase. Global Passports will also be used to purchase drinks at the event and be used to purchase other things offered by Global HTM. At Global HTM events, there will be recharge stations to add money to the card when it runs low. Terry mac
  13. Wow man. I guess there was some truth in my post huh? Make sure that Soborton person reads you post. Nothing against the dance music scene or anything, but ULTRA always does that. They simply don't have anyone on staff that's experienced to deal with the city stuff. Yes, there are people in town that could've helped them get the permission to have the even on the sand, but like you said, they simply dropped the ball. FC PS. Hey Alex, what do I have to be jealous of? I helped build that show, remember?????
  14. Let's get back to the subject. Why isn't the ULTRA Sunset Beach Party on the sand?? I know why. Do you? Also, there are alot more lucrative shows in several parts of the world. People who pay their vendors. Real concerts. ULTRA is one show a year, big deal. Some of us do REAL SHOWS for a living. We're not just weekend concert cow boys like A and R. Another thing. ULTRA needs to be thinking WMC, Bill Kelly. Without the WMC, there would be no ULTRA. FC PS. No matter what Alex tells you about me, he knows the real story. ULTRA WILL NEVER BE ON THE SAND OF SOUTH BEACH EVER AGAIN!!! Get that through your thick head.
